Texas is finally up!! I passed. I'm writing this post to encourage everyone who feels that failed. I took the test at the beginning of May and felt kind of ok on the MCQ's but the simulations were terrible, I did not do either of the research because I was running out of time and decided to do the other tabs. I also think I did very bad on the communication. English is my second language and I know my grammar is bad and vocabulary very limited. Anyway, the other tabs, I did a lot of guessing specially on the pensions portion. I think that only one or two tabs out of 10 maybe (counting both simulations) I was confident that I was doing fine.

I scheduled audit for the end of August because I thougth that according to FAR test I needed to give myself more time. Guess what, after this nightmare I received the score today and I got a 93!!!!!! I'm totally convinced now that the exam is curved and you may feel you totally bombed the test and end up passing. Good luck to all who are still waiting the score!!!!!!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa………..I'm so happy and relieved. After three attempts….74, 74, 78!!!!! Now I can focus 100% on Regulation. Good luck everyone.

I'm finally done this insane exam. I went 4 for 4 but after sweat and some blood (papercuts). I dont know how I got an 80 on FAR. I didnt finish either simulation or know them either. I think FAR is massively curved. I believe I did well on the MC but bomed both sims, so if you feel that you did bad on the sims, I'm pretty sure everyone else did too. My advice I would give to any future CPA canidate who uses BECKER CPA is ridiculously study their MC questions. If you can do well on the CPA exam MC than you only need a limited amount of points from the sims, which was the case on all my exams. I studied the MC until I was getting over 85% on each section of the study material. This will help you pass.

scores are up in VA. 70. this is miserable. I need to defeat the beast in July/August window. I feel horrible but not like 73. It is little less painful if it can be….

And for those who are discouraged or feel overwhelemd – don't give up. You all have the ability to pass this exam if you really put your mind to it and don't lose sight of the prize. I completely lost a year of my life to this exam and I thought that I would never finish. I never went out, I worked / studied all day and on weekends, I lost sleep, and I definitely shaved a few years off of my life with the stress. But keep reaching, keep studying, and keep trying. Your time will come, and it is definitely better than you could ever imagine. The feeling is amazing and nothing compares. Don't give up and you will get there. It may take time, but you will get there.

I'M DONE! 81 – I can't believe I did it. I ran out of time on the 2nd simulation and guessed on some of the 1st. I knew I had the MCQ's down so I was hopeful it might carry me through this exam.

To everyone who struggled, keep on swimming! You will make it! I don't know what I would've done if I had to spend another summer in my study, but do what you have to do! Turn the ringer off, stay unsocial – just focus on redoing the MCQ's over and over again until it's like kindergarten questions. Try not to spend too much time on one question you can't get – just get it till you can make 80-90 % right. I spent 3 full months studying for FAR – read the chapters 2x (once in class, then again when I did the homework). Take 2-3 weeks before the exam and redo ALL the homework. The last week before the exam – practice exams, practice exams, practice exams. Don't stress over simulations – do at least 1, more if you feel comfortable, but MASTER THE MCQ's. 🙂 I liked Becker, but that's just my opinion.

I'm so happy for those of you that passed! Your words of encouragment are very much appreciated. This is the hardest challenge of my life and it's about to get harder. I know what I need to do and that is immerse myself with this exam.
