I am almost 5 months pregnant. Studing and trying to comprehend FAR through the first trimester exhaustion ranks on the top 10 worst experiences of my life. Now I”m hoping to get a passing score so I only need to finish with REG prior to the baby being born.

@MomCPA, I can't imagine studing during maternity leave, I fear so much that I'm not going to get all of this done before the baby and can't imagine how I will get through if I don't.

And giving up caffine for me is near impossible, I've cut back but not near as much as I should. Really would love a few strong drinks right now though lol!

I took FAR in November. I didn't have much trouble taking the other sections, but I mismanaged my time on FAR. I only had 15 minutes on the last simulation. I was already flying through the 3rd testlet and 1st simulation, but I ONLY did the memo and research tabs on the last simulation and then my time expired. My gut feeling is that it wasn't enough to pass, but here I am waiting and allowing myself to think I will finally be done. Sounds like we may find out Tuesday night. Here's hoping!

This is true misery. Trapped inside due to the snow, knowing that I'm going to have to wait till at least Tuesday the earliest. Plus I am not confident that I passed, so I have been starting to re-study FAR. They make us wait too long for grades.

Yeah, I was worried I wouldn't finish if I didn't do it all before the baby as well. But here I am, almost a year after I first started studying for them, still trucking along, but now I'm doing it with a 4-month old in the mix. Luckily, I get a lot of study time at work. Otherwise, there'd be no way…

This blows. This sucks. What a crock of bullsh*t! I have waited and waited and now these losers can't grade my exam?

After all of the mental trauma we have to suffer they are gonna wait until Christmas Eve to give us the presumably bad news. If, and its very possible, I did not pass, I know this aint for me. I cannot become a CPA if I can't pass after 3+ months of super intensive studying.

Maybe this will be a sign from God to move on to much better, rewarding things. Hate to sound bitter, but my life is really crappy right now. this just adds some more stench to it. Goodnite, and good luck to all. After that garbage test they threw on me, I want to throw up. Garbage, garbage, garbage. Just like most “rewarding” aspects of life. Becker= Garbage; Prometric= Garbage; AICPA = Garbage; Public Accounting= Garbage; CPA Exam= Garbage.

I completely agree that this is crap that we have to wait this long for our scores. Seriously? I took FAR over a month ago & need to know if I should reschedule before busy season gets going. Not to mention getting back in the mindset for studying for that beast. It is just wrong if we receive our scores on Christmas Eve. Have they no mercy????!!!!!! I'm already completely overhwhelmed by studying for REG over the holidays. I really just would like to know and get over failing or be super excited before I have to be around tons of family members.

Oh & LifeOnHold, I totally feel your pain on the FAR exam. I started the 2nd sim with 15 minutes left and raced through it. So mad because I knew all of the material just was so conscientious in checking my answers that I left myself with only 45 minutes for the sims. Oh well. I'm so ready to be finished with this exam. Taking FAR again is going to really hurt, but I'm already thinking that way so I won't be as disappointed.

Thanks for your comment- I felt the same way. Really prepared, but got so wrapped up on the difficult questions (probably throw out questions anyway). I have been really disappointed about it because all I had to do was go faster and now it is likely I will have to sit for FAR again. I wonder if anyone has ever not completed an entire simulation and received a passing score? I will be sure to post on the site, pass or fail. Good luck, havetopass!
