Passed FAR on first try but I don't feel so good about it…..

    Anyone else like this?

I really didn’t study as intensely as I should have, and it is reflected in my score. I skipped chapters. I only focused on subjects that I was really strong in, and I didn’t even do enough MCQ’s or TBS to qualify for the becker promise….

In short, I did it the slacker way, and to add insult to injury, on my test analysis, I was put in the “Just passed” category, which means, and I just barely made it.

    It’s embarrassing I think.

    @zooyuka.

I am very serious. I see people on this forum with 90+ scores, and I am very envious. I know it's because I am too lazy and not focused enough.

Anyways, passing on my first try has given me a new motivation, and I am starting to see the end of the road. I am not going to play any more games with this exam, and actually put in the right effort.

Nobody will ever ask you for your scores. “FAR: 99” might be nice on a resume if you have no job, but even in that case “FAR: Completed” will be worth about as much. 75+ is all that matters.

I just Hope I'll get a 78 on my first try on FAR. There are so many people that have to sit 5, 6 or even more times to pass this test. WannabeCPA123, Be Happy that you Passed!

If I get a 78 on FAR in August, I will be jumping for joy and telling anyone who will listen that I got a 78!!!!!!

You might even hear some Yeee-haws and hallelujahs!!

When I took my first exam I read (and adopted) the motto that anything over a 75 means you studied too hard. You have to realize a 78 is not a 78%, it means you've demonstrated enough knowledge to protect the public as a CPA according to the AICPA.

Sigh. Come on, really???? Stop it before the good people of this forum eat you for breakfast.

Unless you were trying to win the EWS award, just be happy that you've passed FAR and can move onto the next section!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I assure you there are no special stickers or demerits that your state board will tack onto your license for having a 92 or a 75 on a section. Any score that is a 75-99 is a blessing. I am just as proud of my 75 and 76 as I am of my 92, because they all mean the SAME THING. I'm with @baxter if I get a 78 on FAR I will do a back flip!

Is someone in your personal or professional life trying to make you feel bad that you didn't get a 99? If so, tell them to get a life and mind their own business. I'm sure when you pass all your parts they will feel squirmy about being a direct report to you someday! 😉

if by embarrassing you mean AWESOME! My 70s scores probably means I'm not cut out for this ish but I'm doing it anyway and getting my CPA license. Less challenge, less reward!

@MintsRGood , I just realized we are in the same boat with one more to go! I am taking FAR 8/31! Are you ready for your 8/27 date? I am likely not going to be ready at all for 8/31 date but I wanted to squeeze in a “teaser look” in this quarter … my REG expires in Feb so I only have 3 chances to pass FAR!

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

I think the OP is trolling. Has to be. I slacked on some of my 80s but I wouldn't dare come on a forum where people bust their butts to get 75s and say how terribly I feel that I did so. C'mon.

Who Cares? FAR is a monster and you passed. PASS is all that matters, not the score.

You know what they call a doctor who graduates at the bottom of his class?

    Doctor.

Same with this. The initials after your name are the same whether it's 4 75's or 4 99's. I like how mla1169 put it.

I hope you're kidding… cause if you are, we can work on your bad jokes over time. @OP, Take a look around at all the <75 grades on this site.
