Well I purchased Cram for FAR and have mixed feelings.
Initially I loved it but as I got closer to my test date I went back to the full review book and was unsettled by how many journal entires and smaller details are just left out of Cram. Of course, it is a cram course and not a full course so this is to be expected but one major thing I can recall I went “whoa I better read the full course book for this” was the chapter on capital leases and the JEs for them.
This is true for every chapter. Plus in the lecture instead of talking about everything Roger reads from the book at times but other times he just skips entire pages and says “you can read those”. I would have preferred if he lectured about the major points, never read from the book, and in the lectures covered the main points in the book.
I just did not want to end up saying “If only I had bought Cram” so I bought it.
To the credit of Cram I did pick up many small details I did not know before so it is not a total waste. If I could do it over I would have studied for my first FAR take with Cram only and NINJA MCQs. I think you can get lucky and pass the test like this depending on the test you get. If the questions are JE heavy you will bomb the test this way. But, not everyone has the luxury of studying full time so it is worth a shot.
I take FAR for the third time in 3 days and I have kind of given up on the Cram book and gone back to the full course book.
