Just curious – what are you good at?

For me, I have found that people come to me to talk about their problems and get advice. Guess I’m a good listener, strong person, and don’t put up with crap from anyone. I wanted to be a psychiatrist when I was younger.

I also think that I am good at dancing, in particular, tap dancing. It’s in the genes. My grandma used to teach line-dancing classes and my mom danced in college. I’m a dancin fool, lol.

Making people laugh, baking, martial artist. I love to bake(and sell) all kinds of cookies (favorite is key lime cookies with chocolate buttercream icing), cakes, and cheesecakes! I have been a martial artist for a longggggg time and have won numerous trophies and awards. In 1995 I was ranked #5 in my division in kata(forms).

@CashMoney10, I've been exactly the same way since I took my last exam. I had all these plans for stuff I've been wanting to do the last year; instead I've just been sitting on my ass every. single. day. And I dont feel bad about it πŸ™‚

That aside, I'm pretty good at

    1) Being OCD in everything I do

    2) Playing soccer

    3) Figure skating – I was on a very competitive synchro team that eventually made it international (yes, it's sort of like synchronized swimming)

    4) Making kidney stones – I have had 6+ and have already had surgery and a chronic infection that lasted throughout college and into my first CPA exam and I'm only 25 : /

    5) Football – I have 3 brothers and am a huge tomboy. I was the quarterback on my 7th grade team of all guys πŸ™‚

    6) Being a good friend to my friends who had relationship issues during this exam which meant many 4:00 a.m. phone calls (I feel like this should have been the other way around)

    @holmea52

LOL yes! I like how we planned all these things to do once we have free time, but spend it sitting. Besides visiting China it has been a lot of slacking off – I REGRET NOTHING πŸ˜€

I keep telling myself, “Yeah, I'll start it tomorrow.” But then when the next day comes it's like, “Why today? I have all the free time in the world now.” Don't start work until end of October so I have a few weeks of free time.

The gf works during the day so Netflix and PS3 have gotten a good amount of catch up time. My tennis league and practice keeps me in shape for now until district championships are over. We'll see what happens after that LOL

Sorry for the kidney stones, those must suck πŸ™ At least you aren't a dude with them?

    Fun thread!

I'm good at playing piano (was once told by my teacher in high school that I was the most talented student she'd ever taught!). I even pursued it as a major in college for a few semesters, until I realized I would make absolutely no money with a music degree. I'm also good at canoeing, most other sports, and spelling/grammar! I love the English language!

@CashMoney10, we totally deserve to be useless for awhile πŸ™‚ I graduated college in 2011 and have been working full time since so I guess I've technically been doing that but I still feel like I have all the free time in the world. I think you should definitely just continue to enjoy the time you have off before you start work! The kidney stones did suck, but I've gotten accustomed to dealing with them and the infections. I am a girl (my pic is a real pic of myself) and my dad has had a number of them too and I do feel like it's worse for guys for obvious reasons. I don't even care about those, though, because I'M DONE WITH THIS EXAM!! LOL

Ping pong and bowling. I like going to the Brunswick by my house on Sunday mornings when they have $0.99 games and bowl by myself for an hour or so. I don't even have my own ball, don't do the whole spinning thing, but consistently score in the high 100s. My high score is a 245! I am determined to bowl a perfect game one day. I think that day might come before I pass the exam! I'm also a terrific pug mom! πŸ™‚

Hey @jenuno01 – I'm just curious…but what was so weird about that poster you were talking about asking his boss to study at work? I remember that post too, and everyone seemed so shocked that he would even think to ask such a thing! I just don't understand because my boss lets me study at work…in fact, he encourages it. Maybe some companies are dic*s about it…but not all. So it really doesn't seem like such an absurd thing.
