Just curious – what are you good at?

For me, I have found that people come to me to talk about their problems and get advice. Guess I’m a good listener, strong person, and don’t put up with crap from anyone. I wanted to be a psychiatrist when I was younger.

I also think that I am good at dancing, in particular, tap dancing. It’s in the genes. My grandma used to teach line-dancing classes and my mom danced in college. I’m a dancin fool, lol.

Ya i remember the post and how everyone reacted….that's why I am confused…is it really that far-off to ask to study at work? Cuz my boss literally tells me to!! The week before my BEC exam, he told me to study all week. So, maybe this poster wasn't that crazy…who knows….

Shooting a basketball. I may not have great handles or craftiness, but I'm a damn good spot-up shooter.

Crafts. Specifically knitting/crocheting baby clothes. One of the teachers at my daughters daycare asked to buy three of them.

I'm good at assessing people's personalities at work and addressing them in the specific way that will get them to do what I need done…I basically enjoy figuring people out…I have gotten the least motivated people to do their jobs and I do not even manage them πŸ™‚

    This is a fun thread!

    For me I would say:

    1. Quilting

    2. Generally being crafty

    3. Being a good dog mother (yes they are like my furry children)

    4. Tutoring/teaching (not just accounting related material but in general)

    5. Drinking a lot of coffee and or red bull. πŸ™‚

    6. Running (While I am not the greatest I have gotten so much better!)

Oh man, you guys make me sound so untalented!!!

I do enjoy baking/cooking, but I'm not GREAT. I've always enjoyed baking. I'm not good at decorating, though.

I love traveling, and I think I do a great job and handling things while abroad (exploring, speaking with locals, finding my way around, etc.)

I have a great sense of direction! I'm usually never lost, and when I do get lost, I don't mind since I like to explore/learn new areas πŸ™‚

I love learning new languages, I wanted to major in French in college, but didn't. I hope to learn a few more once this Hell is over…

I LOVE to organize. Anything and everything. I will color-code and label. My life has been so unorganized since I began studying, so it's really eating at me. My boss consistently calls me OCD/anal. I take those as compliments.

I also think I'm a pretty fashionable chic. I'm typically the best dressed at work (although 95% of my coworkers are middle-aged and wear jeans, so there's not much to that statement.) But this leads me to my credit card debt and shopping problem… whooops!

I've totally gotten into crafts and baking in the last year! I tried to do a lot of DIY stuff for my wedding and then ended up with oodles of baking supplies and hardware in the form of wedding gifts. Is there a way to share pics on this forum?! It would be so awesome/nerdy of us to be able to share pics of our cupcakes/crafts πŸ™‚

@nbad – yessss, I made such cute little cupcakes with bumble bees I made out of starbursts for my boss's “What'll it ‘Bee'” baby shower. I would definitely show those off! πŸ™‚

If you've posted them on your Facebook, you can right-click the picture and click “Copy Image Location”, then paste it here and we can all see them. πŸ™‚ Or anywhere that you have them online, you can do that, but if it's somewhere that requires logging in (like Facebook), you have to make sure you do the “Image Location” instead of just copying the URL.
