@mystical – I have the CIA and CFE. I don't know about costly, but those two designations have allowed me to do a lot in my career, I wear them as a badge of honour, as something I worked hard to accomplish. I am of the mindset, you are never too old to learn something new, and the more knowledge you have, and strive to have, rounds you out as both a professional, and a person.

So, if you ask me, go get'em! You won't be alone, I have given thought as to what to do next, and may pursue an MBA next, but in a topic that I find interesting as well as useful…like Fraud Detection and Deterrence or Systems Security.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do next!
