Well said 12YrsLtr. I would definitely agree that big 4 experience helped open doors for me, however I can't imagine all of the quality of life that I would've missed out on if I had stayed to this day

    REG - 84
    FAR - 15, 29, 55, 80

    @12YrsLtr

I was just saying that you dont need to be in the big 4 to move faster or even make more. Its just another avenue. Honestly, an accounting degree is worth 10 folds if you actually combine that with another major… well a real major such as engineering or any kind or law, etc.

    just saying!

    INDIA - BOLLYWOOD

FAR - Salman Khan - PASSED
BEC - Aamir Khan - PASSED
AUD - Saif Ali Khan - PASSED
    REG - Shahrukh Khan - ?

Pretty much. I posted my story in another section, but the long and short is I left accounting and came back. I was grandfathered at 120 and lost that and had to go back to school. My best advice, and only regrets, are that I did not get my CPA as soon as I was able. I also should have stuck out Big 4 until I made senior. It made a big difference later in the career.

I worked at a Big 4 for four years out of college in NYC and then relocated to their office in Northern Virginia. I really loved the people and found the work to be really challenging. I learned a ton about accounting/auditing, as well as just really great general management/business concepts that carry through to any job in any field. I left about 3 years ago because I couldn't do the hours anymore. I never got my CPA while I was there because I didn't see myself working there forever. I'm getting my CPA now because I'd like to go back into accounting (my current job has nothing to do with accounting).

Even with the hours I worked (80+ some weeks depending on my client and the season), I don't regret working at a Big 4 at all. The people were fantastic, the opportunities were great, and I learned a lot of valuable lessons and got a great amount of managerial experience there. It's not for everyone but then again, no job is.

    F - 85 (11/2012)
    R - 87 (1/2013)
    A - 92 (2/2013)
    B - 90 (4/2013)

    DONE!

I reached out to the CPA Examination Services (division of NASBA) about tomorrow technically being the 6th business day and Monday being the 7th. I also asked if the scores would be released to the state boards tomorrow (which would mean our online scores would be available today at some point). The response i got back was “It is possible that the scores will be released tomorrow. We have not been notified by the AICPA of any processing error”. Maybe we can keep our hopes up??

Well, even before coming here, he'll read the thread “Wave 3”. It's normal to assume that all declared score will be from wave 3 only. I thought otherwise because of cyber etiquette of posting in all caps=aggravated.

    FAR - 92 02/2013
    AUD - 90 05/2013
    REG - 85 10/2013
    BEC - 80 12/2013

    I'M DONE. THANK YOU LORD!

AICPA should add “trolling fake score release on Another71” as acts discreditable. I hate people who mess with us and I'm glad their posts get deleted.
