dmdunova – Oh I would rather be in the EMST too, but I was referring to the fact that most people who I know who were in the EMST were not able to complete the CPA while in school, while there are already several classmates of mine who have completed or are close to completing the CPA.

Zeppelin, TX is a not a NASBA state so the score release is generally the next day after NASBA releases them to our state board. If they come out tomorrow it will likely be monday before we see them on the TSBPA website. I've gotten scores on the weekend before but that was just once several years ago. Generally its week days around 8 or 9am. Good Luck!!

    B - 75(lost), 77

@dmdunova – I see you are working for the big 4 in my area… So whats your advice to get into any of them? Is the million hours only during tax season (assuming you are intax) ? I am almost done with the exams and I am starting my master's in august but they told me they won't hire me until I am done with the master's… THANK YOU ….

I'm looking through older posts to see what people say they are feeling hours before the score release. The most common one, “I feel like I'm gonna get physically sick (is there another kind of sick?)”,

Another favorite one, “I'll have a nervous break down (maybe you already have?)” lol. Finally, “I can't even drive” (they say this when they are already driving home).

This forum makes me smile 🙂

How am I going to study tonight? Would be easier if I had my grade pass or fail!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

They do not extend offers (for full time) usually unless you have already completed (or are about to complete) 150 credit hrs. I have been to recruiting events and honestly, if your GPA is below 3.4, don't waste your time applying unless you went to Harvard maybe. 🙂 Other than that – references help a lot so if you know someone that is already in that will put a good word for you, it is definitely a plus.

I work over 60 hrs a week maybe half the year, the rest of the time is normal hrs (around 40hrs).

Working for Big 4 is a sucker job. They work you to the bone and take away your social life. Although most of em act like big shots the reality is they are doing slave labor accounting work. The goal should always be to find a private firm to work with so you work 35-40 hour weeks with flexible vacation. Worked for both in my life and wouldn't recommend Big 4 to anyone. Some of the people that worked there think who they are too…it is actually amusing.

@dmdunova can you browse the net (Another71) while in the office? do they have an IT department to detect what you are doing?
