@GACPAbound- I initially took AUD in mid 2011. I failed miserably because I rushed my studying so I can go “play” during the summer. I used CPA excel, and went through all the material, but I dont think i fully grasped all the concepts.

I decided to take the rest of the summer off, because i thought there was no way I would pass the exams after scoring a 59. In December 2011, I got a job at a small CPA firm in which you need to be CPA certified in order to be promoted.

I decided to hit the books again, but in a more serious manner. I went through all the CPAexcel material twice, and took advantage of all the down time at work during December. Went though all the questions until i pretty much knew the answers, and why it was that answer, before i even finished reading the entire question. I supplemented my study material with questions from freeCPAreview.com in order to get different questions and exposure to more learning material.

I skipped all the bowl games in December, and took the exam 1/11/2012. To my surprise, I knew most of the questions right of the bat, except for a few here and there that were not in my study material nor seemed relevant to auditing?

My advice, go through study material more than once, until you grasp all the concepts and you have no doubt in any areas. Practice the EQ's until you know every question by memory, and you know why it is that answer for each question.

If I can do it anyone can do it. You just have to want it and put in the time. I still have REG and FAR to go, which i think will really test my accounting knowledge. I pray to god to help me, because FAR seems lengthy and hard.

Good luck to eveyone and thanks for all the courage and advice.

Hang in there all, you pass a part here and there next thing you know

You are one part away. This seemed impossible to me when I started. Take one concept at a time and chip away.

Congrats to Kassius, Givemesleep and all my other BEC buddies who were tortured!

As for me, I'll be in the BEC forum for another month.

Got a 72-no surpise there. BEC is like an abusive boyfriend. I wish it would just go away!

75 is your final score. CA Board of Accountancy will move it up to the top shortly. It may take a day or so. No worries there, you are good! Congrats!

    Whereabouts in CA are you?

Just got my score reports which sections I got my scores last Thursday, with one page says “You will receive separate score notices for each section of the examination you have taken. Each notice includes: examination identifying information (section name, section ID, and date); your score for that examination section; and the result (Pass/Fail).”

and one blank page without performance report because I am passing the exam “If you did not pass this examination section, performance information is provided on the back of this score notice. Please read the explanatory text carefully”.

I did not receive score report for BEC which I got my score this Monday, I mail my skateboard, she replied that I will receive the letter at the end of this week.

Got my score report, fyi. I think I was borderline since I received my score yesterday. My report says that I was stronger in the writing section (so you'd think with human grading it would pull me up to 75, got a 74). Not sure this is helpful to anyone but just in case.

    R - 74;88
    A - 84
    B - 74;89
    F - no study = 67; May 15 = 87 & done

I thought the scores are not posted yet and i thought of checking it while reviewing for my next exam. I am so disappointed, i failed AUD. This is my second session and exam that i have failed. I thought i did better for AUD than FAR but i got a lower score, a stinky 34%, so embarrassing. I reviewed longer and was more prepared on AUD but i guess not. My testlets were not that hard, i thought… But i guess, i am wrong. Deep sigh !! I need to work harder and study harder for my next exam which is REG.

Congratulations to all who have passed, so happy for you guys !!

@Dearbeer, wow! You are amazing !! Took three exams in one week and all passsed?? Wow !! How did you do it

OK, so I am back to my study room, failed BEC again at 74. I am kind of losing it now, and mentally prepared to give up.

Please help in getting over the barrier of 74 in BEC. This is my third time @74

@catlovergirl, @cosmo_sippin_cpa — Please share the tips with me, I have my email address in my profile. …Thank you

FINALLY got my score back–but BUMMER!! 72 (TX-484)! I don't agree with the score but I will hit the books again and take the test in July. In TX, we get a diagnostic report that details our performance; on MCQs: weaker, comparable stronger. I was more comparable than weaker and stronger on the written communication–I don't understand how I did not pass. Oh well!

@musicamor – I completely agree with you. I don't trust the diagnostic report. I had 2 weak and 3 comparable and one stronger. After the exam I was feeling very confident that I nailed this down this time but again 74. I always had my written communication weaker. Can you give me some pointers how to improve that or refer me some book. You can also contact me privately , my email is on my profile. This is my third time @74 in BEC.
