@Jacquelyn Hi~no offence, but since i am anxiously waiting for my BEC score last three days and about the borderline theory, may I ask you when did you get your first score of BEC 74%, the first release or being delay? thank you!

I'm almost reticent to share the fact that I created a score probability spreadsheet right after I took BEC on 5/25…It generated a 77%, so we'll see how accurate it ends up being. And no, I'm not obsessing…And yes, I do have better things to do with my time…

I do not know what to make of this delay, especially since several people have posted their BEC scores and the fact that they've received the TSBPA e-mail. 🙁

@dingo, I took it 5/31 in SC. Does It matter where you take it? These borderline theories is making my heart race.

Created an account to give you guys some insight.. took my very first CPA exam on May 31st (it was BEC) in TEXAS. I received my score 4:30 AM Saturday morning sharp (I stayed up Thursday night and Friday night.. yes I was nervous).

I took the test on the very last day of the window from 7-10 PM so I'm assuming it would have arrived to AICPA at the same time or later than almost everyone else. It was not borderline, however.

My only assumption is that the scores may be borderline, though people have mentioned something about 2 separate batches of score releases. Hope this helps.

If you look at thread #1 for April/May 2012 score release you will see that BEC scores were delayed. All the discussion about boarder line was mentioned at that time too. But if you follow the thread you will see that a lot of people did not receive their BEC scores when NASBA first mentioned that scores were released. They received their scores days later and the ranges of scores were not just in the 70s. Some people scored in the 80s and 90s. If you have any doubts, go view the thread.

And for the record, I know my jurisdiction is slow. It took 2 months to process my exam application that I completed online. So if you ask if I have any faith in them releasing scores on time, the answer would be no. They also took a recess for an entire month during an open window. Who does that?

Should point out.. Texas is not a NASBA state. Some people earlier had mentioned Texas and BEC so thought I'd shed some light as a statistic.

well, According to the AICPA, the BEC section take 1 week longer due to additional analysis that might be required for the written communication tasks, I took my exam on May 17, so for sure they got my scores and nothing to do with cutoff after 5/31. I hope I am wrong, but i think the people who got their scores, who are passed and the computer graded their written tasks without any issue- I mean the atumatic grading went fine- the people including me who are still waiting, the computer couldnt find key words and gave them very low scores; so theses exams need additional step, which it will take a week. nothing to do with the fact pass or fail, but i had three friends who took BEC last two windows, after delay the three people got exactly 75%.
