Update on my previous post, I received the confirmation email that my experience, exams and licensure has been approved and it has been sent to the final review board. They said I should anticipate to receive my final license in the mail in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for your name to show up on the website at this point?

I'd say 2-3 weeks, but we both know you will be checking everyday, multiple times a day.

So let me see if I have this right: Once you pass the exams and submit all required documentation and everything is approved, your application gets forwarded to the board in which we get an “application date”, the date that we have all been obsessing over for the existence of this thread. Once they reach your application date, they give it another look over and if all is well they approve it and your name shows on the website within a few days and you receive your actual license in a few weeks?

Correct except the wait after approval. Its supposedly 3 weeks after the board approves you until you get your number on the website the

Approved on 7/9/18, still waiting for license number. Just called in and they said 7 – 10 days. That will be put me on almost exactly a 4 month wait.

Good luck Mick. I would advise you not disclose your name, or if you do, play very nicely with everyone you talk to.
You still need someone in Albany to approve you, and we all know how things go in Albany.

Also, once your date arrives, do they e-mail you to confirm that everything is okay or do they only contact you if there are issues?

I was never once contacted proactively by NYS.
When I was finally approved to sit, they didn't even let me know, I found out when NASBA contacted me a week later.

When I called yesterday they were on 4/27

I've been following this forum almost every day for months while I waited for my application to be approved and never commented. I figured since this forum helped me get through the wait I should at least share my timeline for all of you still waiting.

4/11 – Application submitted to the board
7/10 – Application approved by the board
7/18 – Application sent to processing
7/27 – License # issued and name appears online
