    Incorrect

The answer is B. Comparable sales.

“The use of comparable sales is not an income approach to valuation of a business, it is a market approach. Under the comparable sales approach, the value of a business is determined by comparing it to other entities with comparable characteristics for which the value is more readily determinable.”

    This was a tricky one

Ans is B..Here is the explanation:

The reserve level is affected by the Federal Reserve's open market operations. When the Federal Reserve sells a security to a household or firm, it receives the buyer's check drawn against its own deposits in a commercial bank. The Federal Reserve presents the check to the commercial bank for payment. On payment of the check, the commercial bank's reserves are reduced.

A lower than average inventory turnover ratio could be the result of any or all of the following except:

    A.

past outages of popular products has led to overstocking.

    B.

sales in the last half of the year were less than expected.

    C.

several inventory categories contain obsolete goods.

    D.

stronger than expected demand for most products.

inventory turnover = cost of sales / Avg Inv

Now both answer A) and B) can reduce the inv turnover. Since denominator is average of the inventory the extra stocking gets smoothed out a little, So the avg inventory is not that high. That leave Sales if sales are low then the the turnover ration will be lower.

    Answer B

    what do you think.

The answer is D . Since it will increase the turnover ration. i did not read the question correctly .. it requires all of the following EXCEPT.

So C will leave obsolete inventory sitting there.. it will not sell so the turnover ration will be low since inventory will increase.

A and B also reduce the inventory as in earlier post.

    @wannabe_cpa

I would read the chapters carefully, understand the material .. do the worked examples that are done by the review course in the video, if time allows do the remaining questions in the book. Leave the test bank out.

I am doing the above .

    @cpatobepr

Agreed! This accounting/economics double-major wouldn't mind a test that was all economics-based! Too bad it's only about 12%.

@cpatobepr … Agreed. Economics was the only chapter I actively enjoyed going through.

Although, I do have to say, I enjoy the computational work in Cost Accounting.

    There, I said it.

An increase in the value of the Chinese currency (the RMB) relative to the U.S. dollar would most likely cause which of the following?

Increased aggregate demand in the U.S.

Increased aggregate supply in the U.S.

    Increase aggregate demand in China.

    Decrease aggregate supply in China.

    Increase aggregate demand in China.

If RMB is more in value, they can import from US and will have to pay lesser RMB.

@h0wdyus … The answer is Increased aggregate demand in the U.S.

Anyone want to give a shot as to why, before I post the answer?

A strong Chinese currency will lead to expensive Chinese products and people will rather resort to US products since they are cheap. This increase in demand for US products will Increased aggregate demand in the U.S

When the currency is strong for china, the price of good is cheaper for the people in china. When Chinese feel the goods are cheaper, the demand for the goods increases. Low price higher demand. This is what I thought.
