    @h0wdyus

    Incorrect

The answer is B. Comparable sales.

“The use of comparable sales is not an income approach to valuation of a business, it is a market approach. Under the comparable sales approach, the value of a business is determined by comparing it to other entities with comparable characteristics for which the value is more readily determinable.”

    This was a tricky one

    Hi guys. Just got done.

Well, I am going to say I think my testlets went medium, hard, easy. (This was my first CPA exam ever)

I flagged maybe 2 on the first and one on the last. I def must have done bad on the second one. I flagged probably 6. I think I gave myself a chance of passing, I finished the WC with 1 minute left. I guess we will find out how becker prepared me but quite frankly I'm pissed off how they focus so much on calcs. The chapter 1 and ch 2 100+ questions are overkill and I wish I would've spent that time reviewing other chapters. I spent a lot of time on one of those sections cause it was my weakest area and I got maybe 2 questions on it.

If I passed I am moving into AUD. School cranks back up on the 25th (last semester)! I'll be in marketing electives so if I pass (I hope ) AUD gets my attention. If not, I'm retaking BEC first part of next quarter.

CPAin14 – looks like you did well. I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about the tests getting harder-> easier. In my experience mine have been all over the place (esp for my audit test and I passed with a 91). I think its great you only flagged a few!

    AUD - 73,91
    FAR - 79 - Thank you God!
    BEC - 73,79!!!!
    REG - 92 whatttt??!

I used Becker review + flashcards, Ninja Audio, Ninja MCQ supplement on BEC and REG.

    Done! Praise God!

@CPA in 14 — I took the test today as well. I thought testlet two was much harder than one. In fact, I thought the entire test was much harder than audit but that is my personal opinion. I found there were a ton of variance questions — was yours like that? Now it is a waiting game to see if I passed (which honestly I do not feel I did). So onto FAR and a retake of BEC at the end of October……

I got an absolute TON of questions on IT……..

I didn't have many of one type of question at all. it was evenly spread out. Maybe I didn't do well on the first one. I didn't think it was hard at all really. Even the hard testlet was not like beckers rough questions.

Alright guys, taking BEC in 2 weeks. Just about done with B6, trying to strategize for review. Definitely need work in B2, I felt like I was close to fully grasping it before but some of the variances are absolutely ridiculuous. What would you guys recommend? My trouble is knowing whether to use actual or standard (for the non DM/DL variances) and what inputs.

I'm thinking about writing every single one out.

I also bought BEC audio and have been listening to it. Must admit I'm pretty disappointed in it. Definitely not worth $90, maybe $50 tops. It's essentially useless for the calculations (not surprisingly), but he barely spends any time on variances. Also, he doesn't go over too many IT terms, which there are a TON. Also was surprised he spent the most time on economics going over some of the most basic information on the exam, IMO. Those that have the audio as well, what is your opinion?

Confidence is a prerequisite for success

    AUD - 1/1

Is anyone studying cost accounting journal entries? I've just started reviewing Ninja notes and I'm seeing journal entries…..

I did a ton of Gleim and Wiley questions with no journal entries at all so I'm surprised to see this in Ninja and I'm taking BEC on Saturday lol.

I'm sure I can figure anything really basic… but not sure if JEs are worth studying this late in the game.

My test had a large amount of calculations, nothing really pertaining to variances surprisingly, a handful of IT, and then about 12-15 questions that I legitimately did not recognize from any of my Becker material. Frustration is an understatement. My first testlet was easy as well, 2nd and 3rd testlets were just brutal. I flagged maybe 12/24 on the 2nd and another 6-7 on the 3rd. Im expecting to have to retake it next testing window. Honestly, maybe I'm the only one, but I really feel like Becker had me very ill-prepared for the exam. To have 12-15 questions that I don't even recognize is kind of ridiculous. But then i'll see people who say that Becker covered everything they saw on their exam, so maybe I was a victim to the luck of the draw. Regardless, I won't be sleeping well for a long time.

I scored 89, 92, and 91 on REG, AUD, and FAR respectively.. who would've thought BEC is the one that kicks my ass. UGH.

No harm in reviewing journal entries for cost accounting. It solidifies your knowledge.

    @mike

You probably passed. Those who complain about brutality is because they got hard testlets.

And it is funny to see some say it was full of calculations and some say very few calculations. AICPA test bank must have many types of questions.

Now that I'm on a computer I want to share more of my experience.

I didn't have many calcs at all. Its hard for me to really judge the difficulty of the exam because I was expecting it to be like long questions with lots of steps etc (what becker tells you to practice) but like said before, they weren't long at all. I wish I would've spent more time on the other chapters that weren't calculations. Becker goes so deep into the material, but i felt like the questions were more general.

I'm kinda mad just because I felt like I would've spent a lot more time allocated to other subjects that would've been easy points. Usually i can tell if I pass or fail a test but this one I'm like well i don't really know but I think i gave myself a fair chance to pass. Writing section topics were easy, we all have taken undergrad business classes.

Hey guys. I took audit yesterday and have BEC scheduled for October 3 (NTS expires that day). I have been studying consistently everyday for the last month and today instead of relaxing I am not sure what to do with myself. I am going to get started on Corporate governance today, since I clearly am still in study mode and not to mention I only have 7 weeks to get BEC done.

Good Luck to everyone testing this window.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

So, since my test is in eight days I am going through my notebook and finding the things I wrote at the tops of my pages while doing MCQ because those are the odds and ends I want to review this week and right alongside “ABC Analysis” and “quality circles” I found the words “sausage, add onions and mushrooms”

I think I got distracted while studying that day. Ha!
