    @h0wdyus

    Incorrect

    The answer is B. Comparable sales.

    “The use of comparable sales is not an income approach to valuation of a business, it is a market approach. Under the comparable sales approach, the value of a business is determined by comparing it to other entities with comparable characteristics for which the value is more readily determinable.”

    This was a tricky one

    hey all, I am planning to take the test 7/19. I have passed BEC once, but lost it due to my struggles with Audit. I now have passed Audit and only have BEC left. I need to pass, because if I don't pass it I will lose FAR & REG. I passed BEC 2 years ago with a 86 and then took it two days after I took AUD in the End of May. I only studied a couple of hours the last time and got a 70. I have been studying before and after work, but extremely nervous since I have a lot to lose. Is there any topics that I should constantly review more of? I feel like i have a general idea on all of the topics, and have more strengths in Financial management but no other true strengths.

    @zack…..there is a formular thread on this forum but it wouldn't be of any help.

    My advice is write down the formulars yourself as you go through the review materials.

    Even though I have taken it 3x and have all the formulars, I still write them down everytime I go back to reviewing BEC.

    Devote 30mins each day to memorize all the formulars you've gathered.I believe this method will help you a lot.

    Glad to see you again…lets do this

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

    @DT_2_GT CPA Challenges

    I lost BEC earlier this year too and got a 74 in May

    Since its your last one don't underestimate this part. I passed easily 2 years ago with min study but I did put a lot efforts last quarter and failed!

    I believe exam itself has changed, base on my experience and what other ppl told me that everytime focus area is very different. STUDY EVERYTHING AND KNOW EVERYTHING BY HEART

    Reach to a point where you can read the question and know what they are trying to trick you!

    Over all I think Chapter 1-4 in becker weighted more than last 2 chapters

    Came across a question where my solution says something different than Becker book. Easy question about penalty of CFO misrepresenting company under SOX, but the explanation for the correct answer is what got me.

    It says “an individual who knowingly executes or attempts to execute, securities fraud will be fined or imprisoned not more than 25 years.”

    So I look at the page in Becker and it says “Any individual…shall be fined and/or subject to not more than a 20-year prison term”

    Which is right? Now I'm worried that these “updated” Becker books may have errors.

    Confidence is a prerequisite for success

    AUD - 1/1

    REG - Q4

    Do any of you have any thoughts on the Becker Practice Exams? I just took one and scored 60%, but on all of my practice questions and ninja mcq I have been scoring around 75% – 90%. The Becker Exam seemed to have some harder questions associated in it. J

    I took a Becker practice exam and scored around a 79. The Becker exams are notoriously difficult so I wouldn't worry too much. I scored a 63 on my first audit practice exam and got an 81 on the real test.

Can I ever get aeay with memorizing and if so what are some good techniques I can use until tje end of august which will be edam day. I do much better on theory than math.
