I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

Thanks, NYC! I checked my notes, nominal GDP doesn't include inflation, real GDP does, which was transposed in your first sentence.

So real GDP uses the prior years prices?

I needed that simplification of the difference between the terms, thank you!

    FAR 75
    AUD 74, 82
    REG 58, 74, 83

Oh man, so last week was interesting. Went through Corporate Governance… I forgot how much I detest this area, and for some reason cannot get my head around it. I think I'll spend another day on it and work through it again. Everything is so similar I feel like I understand the grand picture but not the itty bitty. How's everyone doing?

    FAR 69, 83
    AUD 85
    BEC 80
    REG 82

Glad to say I will permanently be in this group after hearing I passed REG yesterday. Let's get this thread active!! If you have a question please post it so others can learn as well. If you are unsure of something there is a good chance that someone else is having problems with this area as well. Good luck and let's make the best of this weekend!!

Hey guys – I'm having a helluva time getting into study mode for BEC. I had an easier time getting a feel on FAR material than BEC! Any advice on how to approach this next section?

    FAR - 70, 77
    BEC - 78
    AUD - 71, Oct 2014
    REG - TBD

I feel the same way. I did the first chapter lecture on Becker and started the homework and this seems like it will be much more difficult than REG.

Does anyone have the NINJA audio for this section? I was thinking about getting it but not sure how helpful it will be listening to formulas rather than seeing them.

    REG - 83
    BEC - 81
    AUD - 73, 92
    FAR - 90

    Done!

I plan on getting the Ninja notes. I have never used the audio, but I think the key to BEC is remembering the formulas.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

Hey guys, i'll be taking BEC sometime in May. Will be using the same study method as I did for REG. Becker review, supplement with Ninja Audio/notes and Gliem test bank…as well as visiting this forum ALOT. Dont have to worry about SIMS on this one..yay! Although we have that written communication thing. Not sure what that is all about. Anyways, good luck studying guys..i see some familiar users in here. Lets kill BEC this window!

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.

@nycaccountant. I got the 10 point lite combo for AUD and found i used the audio more than anything. The audio is awesome for commutes and i just listened to it over and over again. highly recommend the audio (even over the notes or the blitz if you could only pick one)

    Aud-75 3x I knew i never liked you
Bec-77 1x being in the bubble is stressful
Reg-82 4x its not me its you...and no we cant be friends
    Far-78 1x easiest section

I took REG in 2/27/14 and I received 76. Seriously not the score I expected as I have tax experience and been scoring low and high 90s in Business Law days before the final exam. I use Becker Review and starting to study for BEC now. BEC is a totally different animal and I am getting scared just by realizing how much information/formulas I have to remember. For anyone here who have taken the exam, what topics should I concentrate on studying? I know we all have different preferences but I was just not satisfied with my REG score user Becker alone so I purchase 2014 Wiley. Other than that, do you guys have any recommendations or tips that would would be in passing BEC?

I worked full time and work 6 days a week. I studied as much as I can but getting a 76 is too low for me. How do I increase my score?

@ AnSmith you was lucky to have tax experience. I have no tax experience but I passed REG, so I probably had to study a lot more.

@ Taxman89 I've never used the audio, but I may give it a shot.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

First time to take CPA exam. Planning to take BEC in April. In last week, the burglar went into my house and took everything. Now, I don't even have laptop or iPad to study for the exam is coming up. Feeling so down, and no motivation at all.
