159357,
I think I'm getting a bit depressed over my test experience. It was not at all like my other 3 tests where everything on the test was generally included in the study materials. On Reg, I had one Sim that was not in the study materials, but the rest of the test was all material I had encountered. FAR and AUD study materials were both fully comprehensive – no surprises on test days.
My BEC exam had a disproportionate amount of material in in that I had never seen or heard of. I feel like I've been walking around in a daze since then. I wanted to pass and be done so bad, but I believe come May 23rd I will be rejoining this group.
For now, I'm heading out on vacation for a couple of weeks and have decided not to bring any study material (maybe a set of flashcards). Its been a very intense six month ride getting through these at the pace I chose for myself. I need a regroup. Heading out to the Balkans and Italy for a couple of weeks – then when I return, my score will be waiting. joy…not.
My saving grace is that the writings were all subjects covered in the study materials – you all should do really well on those if you know your material. I did not pre-practice any writing, only read through a few examples to get used to the expected format. 15 free points there if you are a good writer (I write audit reports all the time, so this is one of my strengths. Practice your active voice if you are a passive writer).
Wishing everyone a much better testing experience than I had. It is so luck of the draw – two of us have reported back impossibly difficult exams with “extra” material on them, one has said it was all included in Beckers. Hopefully you all have the latter.
