okie.. congrats to every one that passed BEC..I passed my first CPA exam, was quite tensed, since i ‘m from canada and am a full time mom with full time job !! score is 84. Thanks to every one for their support.
thanks jeff.
BEC 05/10 - 84
AUD 08/25 - 80
REG 07/31(awaiting)
FAR 10/01 (had to postpone it due to work)
diva, I haven't gotten anything yet either in MN. This whole process is absolutely mind-boggling! Is it so crazy to think that an organization that has been administering relatively the same test for years and years might be able to give out a score sooner than 2 mos later, especially when ALL OF THE GRADING IS AUTOMATED!?!?!
Had to get that off my chest. Sorry about all the exclamation points, but the CPA just gets me worked into such a frenzy!
@abullard: Have you contacted the TX State Board? Last time I checked with them was at 1pm today. They said they have not heard anything from NASBA yet. But I didn't get a chance to follow up around 4ish, so here I am waiting until midnight on a chance that they might have received the scores and post on their site tonight.
Got lucky and very little variance and Cost Accounting. Thought Becker + Flash Cards + Final Review + Wiley for IT only was an awesome knockout punch. Exam was tough….but fair.
Loophole has worked for me twice. Checked last night/this morning at 2 AM and had BEC grayed out—same for AUD.
One left–REG… don't want to jinx myself but have about 10 months to complete. Giving myself one month between BEC and REG studying……..which only leaves me about two more weeks.
This site is awesome for support and help. Thanks Jeff and others……
i COULD postpone BEC until the end of aug, but if i move on to FAR and have all that information jumbled in my head i think that would put me even farther behind with BEC! i would like to retake it while it is still fresh on my mind.
and if i only need Yaeger for say Finance and Cost Accounting…i am assuming i would skip the lectures for the other sections? i don't wanna spend time on information i am comfortable with and got comparable on.
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
MPoni123, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm going to postpone my FAR exam until late August and retake BEC ASAP. No point in trying to memorize an entirely new section when BEC is still relatively fresh. I wonder if I'll be one of the rare ones who will get a score change due to a late exam change haha, damn 74….
wow oobaisi…that is just painful! a 74…really? they should automatically bump it up to a 75 that is BS. well we are in the same boat i guess. both FAR and BEC left and both taking them in the next testing window. what study materials are you using? what state are you in? im in MA
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
oobaisi – i am just worried that if i order new study materials (Yaeger this time) and get a new NTS, it will limit my study time. i got the Yaeger CRAM and i think it helped (boosted my score 5 points), but there are still concepts i don't fully understand. plus i lose the money i paid for with FAR since i never took it. i will be re-registering for BEC and FAR again but never sat for FAR with my previous NTS.
ugh…decisions, decisions
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
When I walked out of the exam, I thought I failed since I missed so many really really easy questions ( the kind that is on page 2 of the Wiley BEC review book). Only had 1 week to study so didn't even get to cost accounting and the last few chapters. Got a 89!!!!! First exam and first pass. Now I have FAR 2 weeks from now to prep for.
Anyone from MN gotten a score yet? I'm starting to get a little concerned that something happened to my score, especially considering I should have been in wave 1 and was not.
BEC-87
AUD-65, 83
FAR-83
REG-81
