hopeful_cpa: I am in New Orleans. I am hoping to be with the Wave 1 people so I can find out sooner rather than later about my score. I know each test is different, but I really think I just received a really bad test. Maybe we did better than we thought?

    AUD - 89, BEC - 69, 75
    REG - 69, 82, FAR - 80 - IT'S OVER!

hey everybody! i am back on the saddle again studying for BEC, which i take may 28. took it sometime in march and failed with a 66. i had a lot of chapter 3 questions, which i bombed miserably. ordered the new 2010 becker software. is anybody else using it? it is pretty cool compared to the 2009 software.

i also have the 2009 Yaeger cram that i will use to supplement my studying. how is everybody else's studying going? anybody taking the exam towards the end of the month?

i haven't been on the website in a while because i haven't been studying! back at it again…

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

MP, I'm in the middle of BEC studying as well. I take the test in 2 weeks; I'm almost through BEC 3 right now and hope to finish it up by tonight. It hasn't been too bad so far, hopefully all this info will stick though. I too am using the Becker 2010 software. It's helped me a lot so far! Hopefully this will be my last section and I can finally be done with this crap after 6 straight months of it!

    FAR: 81 (1/20) AUD: 88 (2/27) REG: 91 (4/19) BEC: 75 (5/20)

The one thing I do not like about the Becker BEC lectures is how this Mike Potenza guy says “now let's take a look at ROMAN ONE”. Those numbers are Roman NUMERALS you clown, not “Romans”. That drives me completely insane!!!!!

    FAR: 81 (1/20) AUD: 88 (2/27) REG: 91 (4/19) BEC: 75 (5/20)

Well I took BEC yesterday and walked out of there feeling 50/50. My only advice would be not to underestimate it. I felt like Becker only scratches the surface of potential questions that they could ask. I think the best way to study would be to do as many multiple choice questions and you can possibly stomach. The lectures didn't seem to help me understand any better than 3 hours of doing questions would have.

    REG 97, FAR 69,82, AUD 80, BEC 71, 81 - It finally ended!!

Hey I take later this month and am a little worried about this sucka'. When I tested two years ago, this was my poorest exam. I had a lot of other factors going on in my life at that time, but in reality there were some blatant unfair exam questions and I could not have possibly prepared.

Fast forward to this time and I feel Becker is good….except for IT on Ch. 4. Lots of gaping holes in the material, and it just bothers me. Has anyone who HAS ALREADY TAKEN the exam and WHO USED BECKER, feel like they were adequately prepared? Especially concerning the IT Questions?

I do have Wiley 2010 ed BEC as supplementary as well as Becker Final Review. If I can't pass with these “tools”, something is wrong!! Any advice appreciated.

    leebird,

I took BEC the end of February after preparing with solely Becker for about 5 weeks. I got a 92 and I think that Becker was sufficient preparation. Of course there were questions that came from nowhere, but I'd say that there were only about 3-4 questions that Becker did not cover at all. And of those questions, you could make an educated guess on about 2 of them.

I did not have Becker final review, barely reviewed as it was, and also barely skimmed the IT supplement. So as long as you got the other material down, I think you'll do fine.

    Hello bakagal,

In your opinion were the MC from Becker harder than those found on the test?

    Ed,

If you know your becker questions with no problems, you can guarantee the exam questions will be easier. I have taken BEC twice and took it on April 1 last month. I used Gleim the second time around and felt pretty good about the exam for the first time, knock on woo. you will only see various components of the big questions rather the whole thing. I saw lots from chapter 3.
