In another thread, a poster said they spoke with a NASBA rep who told them they were expecting the AICPA to release BECscores towards the end of this week, so I personally do not have my hopes set too high for an AICPA release tonight…
I am attemting to study for BEC but am getting nothing but frustrated!! I am using Becker and went to the live course but lesson 3 is killing me!! I have pretty much made it through lessons 1 and 2 but any help on getting through lesson 3 would be greatly appreciated!! I am seriously starting to question if becoming a CPA is really worth it!! I sat for REG last month and am waiting for that score. I don't feel too positive about it and that was the 1 exam I felt I would do well with. Any advice would be great…THANKS!!
hi kathyb – i also had trouble with chapter 3 using becker (and chapter 5 – cost accounting). i ordered the Yaeger CRAM dvd and it actually helped explain things in a different way. they give you handouts as well with the formulas, etc. you can order the cram on the yaeger website. Yaeger uses the Wiley book and there are a ton of other questions in it as well. i had a tendency of memorizing the becker questions so it was kind of counterproductive doing them!
so i would supplement becker with Yaeger cram. (2009 version was 10 hours all together). i am not sure when the 2010 live cram session will take place.

The suspense is killing me. Now I am hearing another week. I really think I was more prepared than my last one 73 but with this exam you can never be sure. I was a wave 2 and the exam actually froze on me after I was finished with the second testlet was finished. I cant take anymore.
Jack, I know how you feel. It's been almost a month since I took BEC and it's killing me not to know. Hopefully by Wednesday NASBA receives the scores from the AICPA and by Thursday/Friday we know. Hang in there.
I heard something and passed it onto Club 75, but it wasn't concrete enough to share here yet…people freak out if things don't happen as rumored, I've learned.
What kind of crap is that!? “I have info but I won't share it because people freak out.” I freak out way more when people say that than I do over false info : )
