@sums: i did the becker as well and i got nailed on chapters 3 and 5 and thats what made me not pass. any tips on how to get through those sections or did i just get a bad hand with the amount of chapter 3 i had on the exam?
HopefulCPA – I used Becker as well. I took the classes, but honestly, for me, they were pretty useless. Just a waste of 4 hours twice a week. The in-class lectures where almost word for word from the lecture CDs. So unless you are a person that likes to ask questions and have things personally explained, I would suggest not doing classes and spending that valuable time working and reworking the questions.
Passed BEC with a 78!!! I'm a CPA – now its just the ethics portion (oddly enough an open book/take-home portion) and its official. Third time around is a charm I guess. By the way for those curious on what worked, Becker + Wiley hitting the practice questions and focus notes. On top of that I learned ALL of the notecards (Becker) like the back of my hand. This was by far harder for me than any other section, although FAR was a bit of a bear, but BEC was sooo unpredictable.
I hope the best to all of you and your loved ones that this is tough on too. I'm off to go drink.
83!!! I'm from MN! Taking REG retake on Monday! That potentially could be my LAST exam!!! Now this weekend I get to wait for my AUD score while studying REG! I'm motivated again to hit the books! Good luck to all CPA Exam takers.
