CVACPA – I don't think the loophole works when you try to re-register in the same state you are taking the exam in. You have to choose another state like GA.
Sara – Are you sure? Why would it let me re-apply and charge my CC? Last night my BEC block was greyed out, then this morning it was NOT greyed out. It allowed me to check it and reschedule the BEC exam. I'm soooo confused now.
The loophole works when you try to register in GA or OH, even if you're taking the exam in that state. It was through test takers in those states that we identified this loophole to begin with. If CVACPA was able to re-register for BEC in OH, (s)he failed.

rek, you can't retest in this testing window for BEC. If you think you can be ready for FAR by the time it's scheduled, keep pushing on with it and do it. Mastering FAR will help when you retakeBEC anyway.

I understand it is a great frustration to wait, but why to kill yourself with all these loopholes. just hang in there for another day, and have it right.
CVACPA and MomCPA – I agree. If it changed (meaning it updated), than that's correct. You most likely failed. Sorry to hear that! I'm a NY candidate and the loophole is wishy washy for many of my friends, including me 🙁
I love the loophole. I think it's right, when checked correctly and with all the relevant info in mind. And it adds a touch of drama to this whole boring process (ha! yeah, like we needed anymore score release drama).
But yeah, don't start adding “CPA” to your email signature or your business cards until you see the official results from NASBA.
