I am taking BEC May 29th. I will start studying once REG is over (tomorrow!). Hope this one isn’t too bad!

    Loophole:

When I tried the nasba re-examination online registration, it said “We are unable to locate your profile information on file”. I checked my Jurisdiction with Nasba and then told them it said that. They responded that I should just call in to register. That does me no good.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm in Ohio and just tried the loophole at work and it wasn't greyed out. I was able to re-register. Time to hit the books again.

Almom, did you try using your SSN instead of your jurisdiction ID?

I have previously taken BEC and AUD. I didnt pass either and re-registered for both. I did not pass Audit and it allowed me to re-register for that one but BEC was greyed out.

@FL_CPA2010 – if you go to blackberry.com/updates it should bring you to their main update page and you can click on “check for updates” application loader will pop up. plug your phone in with the USB cord and it will scan to see if there are new updates for you. I'm not sure if the curve has Java just yet, and the reason why the Storm's bbm groups mess up is because the keyboard won't pop up (groups ONLY, it's the weirdest little glitch) and because the storm is touchscreen, there isn't a keyboard that can be used like for the curve, so if the upgrade is available, my guess is that it shouldn't affect your BBM groups.

I'd definitely recommend a backup of all your files before you try any updates…it's hit or miss with these things…i was happy that i had just backed up my stuff cause i almost lost it all.

Ok – so I just tried the loophole in Ohio again and it says “We are sorry. Currently all sections of this exam are still in process”. I have sat for BEC (4/9) and AUD (4/30). I sit for REG on 5/27 and FAR on 7/1. I imagine I was in wave 1 for BEC. Does this mean I probably passed BEC, and AUD is still processing?

Honestly, I have a strong understanding of tax that really assisted me with the exam. Most of the tax material was on the CFP exam that I took a few years ago. I got a sim that was not covered in the Becker materials but I was lucky enough to know how to do the problems. I knew very little about contract law but I did flashcards repeatedly until I had them all memorized. Not sure if this helps you or not.

I took on BEC 5/11 in PA I am wondering if this Loophole thing even applies to me yet if I was in Wave 2. It allows me to re-register for the exam in PA as of now, would this be cause NASBA has no idea if I took it? I had all four parts on the NTS and it will not allow me to re-register for any of the other three parts, this was the first exam I took on this NTS. Any help here would be much appreciated.

brucebruce – basically you and i are in the same boat – signed up for all 4 and this is our first? I just tried the PA loophole and it said “still processing this exam” so I wasn't even able to see any of the re-register. Try to re-register in Ohio and see if it allows you to sit for BEC. Maybe 5/11 was in wave 1?

    Bruce,

why in the worlds would someone put more than one part on 1 NTS, I can never get this?!? I only apply for an NTS when I know I am taking it at certain time. Do you get discount for getting more than 1 on the NTS?
