I just got done taking BEC today and all I can say is wow that was hardest exam I took out of the four. I didn’t take BEC lightly when I started studying for it, but that exam kicked my @$$. There were a ton of conceptual MCQs that came out of left field in the first testlet, and the second testlet was much easier (not a great sign). The SIMs were straight from hell and I barley had enough time to put some words down for the written communications. Not to mention that my computer shut down during the third testlet (restarted okay but just my luck). Did anybody else come out of BEC feeling like they didn’t even come close to passing and still passed? Will now have to wait over a month for the score release.

    FAR - 82   (8 Wks, 181 Hrs, 1,928 MCQs, 130 Sims)

    AUD - 85  (4 Wks, 83 Hrs, 1,751 MCQs, 78 Sims)

    REG - 81 (4 Wks, 95 Hrs, 1,274 MCQs, 41 Sims)

    BEC - 88 (4 Wks, 96 Hrs, 1,502 MCQs, 23 Sims, 5 WCs)

@Panders – you've passed three exams, you just need to repeat your prep. process again for BEC and you will be done with these exams soon.

Nothing to worry about if you've trained and put the time in to understand the material. You will do fine. Rely on your knowledge and training.

@stony I took BEC for the second time after receiving a 74. The first time I took BEC I got the second testlet with all the random IT questions but ended up not leaving enough time for the WCs and that's why I failed. This time I felt the first MCQ testlet was very difficult and the second multiple choice test got easier. But i'm not sure if it was easier because I did poorly on the first testlet or that I knew the information. I'm nervous that since I got the easier testlet that means that I failed. The testlet had short conceptual questions. The sims and WC weren't too bad but at the same time I have no idea if I answered them correctly. When i took REG, I kinda felt the same way about the MCQs and Sims but I ended up passing with an 84! Has anyone felt that they got an easier testlet and ended up passing???

I took BEC over the weekend and had a similar experience. First testlet was hard and the second one noticeably easier…not encouraging. Hopefully I’m able to squeeze 60-65 points between mcqs and sims. Sims were really hard and the one I aced I’m pretty sure is a pretest :(…nothing to do but wait now

Are the IT questions intuitive and possible to easily reason thru? At least if you have worked in Finance and Acctg for 12 years and in IT/ERP implementations for another 10 years?

Or are they random stupid trivia like what year did Congress create DARPA?
