    FARbehind,

    Which course are you using…i noticed you scored a 73 in bec followed by an 80…i scored a 71 to my surprise considering i put my head in my hand and cried right in front of the puter…anyhoo i need a 7 point boost to my score. I too am waiting on reg!!! here's to hoping it is released 2nd….wish i could remember which was second back in march…

    well the little old ladies in indiana just put you at your seat and ask if that is you (picture) on the puter and then they leave….so hopefully i wont have any issues and i can write away…and then breeze on thru the blah blah blah crap and start the exam..

    IL - BECKER=============> DONE
    REG - 80; FAR - 65,79; AUD - 53,78; BEC - 71,68, 75 (used becker and yaeger for 3rd BEC)Ethics 95

    I just go through the intro screens of the exam as quick as possible…I don't read all that stuff…I just click what needs to be clicked…I get through all the screens in a minute or less. Then the first question I just mark any answer and go to the next question so that my exam is started and I won't timeout. Then I go and write everything down on my paper, and once I'm done w/ that I go back and do queston 1 over again.

    AUD - 81, BEC - 74, 80, FAR - 82, REG - 81
    Done!

    I use Becker. I think they are pretty good. The first time I had hard first testlet with a lot of calcs and I went over time. When I realized that I tried to speed up and I did some guessing at the end. The next 2 testlets were ok but i was already behind… The next time around i tried to avoid that situation and I watched my time. I guess it paid off. I tried to concentrate on finance and cost accounting in my preparation. Of course, IT is very important too. The rest is not crucial. I think just by going there a second time helped me since I was aware of how they asked the questions. You should be ok adding the 7 points the next time. but plan to add 10 just to be sure…:)

    Taking AUD on Wednesday…

    Can anyone confirm the presence of word-for-word Auditor's Reports in the “Research” tab for simulations?

    Instead of taking 4 hours to memorize all the reports word-for-word this weekend, I would rather spend my time studying audit evidence in transaction cycles, relevant assertions, and all the other topics that make for tricky questions.

    When exam time comes and I need to write a report for the simulation, could I just keyword search (i.e. Modified Unqualified, OCBOA report, or whatever). Select relevant topic. Quick scan to find the correct passage. Cut and Paste. Modify for particular question…..?

    -Passed all four sections of CPA exam in 2010 using Becker.
    -Former Seasonal Audit Senior with Big Four accounting firm.
    -Plan to sit for Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

    Time isn't really an issue on AUD for the majority of people, so even if you go into the test and write it out there shouldn't be an issue. I can't imagine having you write a standard report makes for a good written. Just dictating a standard report doesn't show any level of written skill/ability, which is the entire point of the exercise. You might reference part of it in your written, but just barfing up a standard report is useless.
