Dopefreediva – exactly my line of thinking, also looking to join a smaller CPA firm, for the same reasons…luckily, had an interview last week, waiting to hear back from them – would be nice to get a passing score to let them know…Are there any openings in your firm?

Definitely not enjoying the wait, last time my score was also among the last to post – if it is a coincidence, it is not funny.

Just heard from Jennifer Layton in WA….she said they are missing a lot of scores and to allow 24-48 hours for NASBA to get the scores to Castle.

OMG!!! I cannot handle this. This is my last section and the wait is killing me. I am paralyzed with fear and stress.

    Jen,

I know the wait can be a killer. But I have finally been able to minimize the effects of letting events (CPA exam process) outside my control effect me. During this CPA exam process where I had to wait more than 70+ days to receive my AUD score during the Q2 window only to find out I failed with a 73 was pure torture. I no longer "stalk" the NASBA website during score release and I honestly wait until I see the AICPA release on this website and read that candidates from NASBA states are receiving their scores before I even check mine. I suppose this is the best way for me not to get suck up into the constant score checking like I did for my first test window. The anxiety of seeing that dreaded "Error: No score …" popup on the NASBA website sure felt like it was going to give me a heart attack everytime.

I suppose what I am saying is try not to let things especially events that you have absolutely zero control over tear you apart. In the grand scope of things it just is not worth it. I could have never imagine this CPA exam process or doubt that I could possible give it due justice in trying to ever explain it to anyone who has not been here before. Having said all of this, I hope your CPA journey comes to an end and you find a passing score.

Best of Luck now and in the future.

    Lee_IN,

I agree with you on that, but I still look to see if my scores are there, but I just think…"well I did the best that I could do with what information I had to work with"…..I think this wait is also harder because I passed my first two, but this past one I felt terrible about the exam when I walked out. The first two I just had no idea if I was even close to passing. I thought 73 to 76 after the other two. I think this one I will be lucky to get about 40. I used becker for all the ones I took, but REG didn't seem to prepare me as well for REG as it had for FAR and AUD. I take BEC Oct 26th.

thanks yllejane. Not sure yet how I can do that. I started a Masters program to finish the other requirements for the CPA, so now I'm overloaded with stuff. It's as many have said on this forum, the test can be surprising. I walked out feeling I aced the test. I was a little hesitant on one simulation, but other than that I rocked the M/C….clearly not though. Thanks for the encouragement. Not sure how I'm going to tell my husband now.

SwissBliss and Jingo, sorry to hear about your scores. I'm sure you'll both knock it out of the park the next time!

I passed with a 78 so I'm done with the exam! Best of luck to you both!

Congrats taxgirl. Now then I put my daughter to bed, I will go and see my score. A little scared by that point.
