Marcus I'm here:-) here is what i did:
I actually read first 3 chapters of Wiley during my last semester of college. I don't know how great the impact of this was, but it might have helped me with concepts understanding – Wiley book is very thorough.
Then, in June, I listened for 5 Becker lectures within a week. it was FastPass, but one could do same thing with CD's.
Then I was studying for 2 weeks (after i took BEC, so some time passed). i would listen to small part of lecture, then do MCQ, then repeat. Did wrong ones and supplemental questions in the end of each lecture. About simulations, i only looked through them. What I did practice were memos – English is my ESL, so I'm panicky about writing. So I made sure I practiced all of them, compared with Becker samples.
I did do both of Becker final exams. And what might have made a difference was Becker final review – I purchased that as well, and went through it 3 days before the exam.
I think, if you have resources and want to secure pass – I would definitely recommend it, or, go with Yaeger CRAM course (I heard it's a good alternative which is also less expensive).
Question to you: How do you know you did well on MCQ? Were they getting easier? You know about adaptive questions, right? if you are doing well – they get more difficult. If not so well – they get easier and it creates false impression of answering everything correctly.
