Well, I'm signing off until later. Thankfully my firm is sponsoring Bierfest, so I better go party it up while I can. 😉

    Hey ALL,

Failed AUDIT… 70. Does anyone suggest I go right back to Audit next window before I move onto another section. I feel because I was decently close that might be a good idea. As you can tell I am new to this and I am looking for some advice….

yes considering there is 1.3 million accountants and you need to be competitive

I would suggest going right back to Audit and getting it out of the way since you were sooooo close. Once you have your score report, do a detail review of the areas where you were weakest but make sure to also review the other areas.

    Thanks Taxgirl.

Matt… not sure I understand what you are saying. I know the CPA is competitive but do you suggest going right back to a part you miss or try a new part, and obviously return to the failed part later down the road. Audit was my first section.

    No problem Marcus.

I made the mistake of not going back to parts I had failed and moving on to another part and once you return to the part you had previously taken, you pretty much have to start all over. For all future CPA exam takes, I would always advise to stick with one part until you pass it because you are more likely to retain the information you have studied and not have to start your studying all over again each time.

    Hey Marcus,

Dive back in while it is still fresh.

No take it ASAP, or kiss your short term memory good bye. The job market is competitive if you do not have CPA you will be gone eventually.

Thanks guys… I am thinking I would only need about 2 weeks to prepare since it fresh. Enough time?

Also, I am going to try to use another study source. The scary part about failing this part is that I cannot blame it on lack of effort / time committed.

2 weeks was enough for me for audit, after a week of Becker fastpass. So I think being it fresh – it should be sufficient.

Great thanks Anna. I am using Becker actually. Congrats on passing with an 86. Did you only use Becker? I felt great about the MC (I am sure that wasn't my downfall) SOO, I guess it was the sims. How did you prepare for the sims. I mastered the Becker simulations but obviously didn't master the actual simulations haha.
