Do question after question after question after question.

    And then do some more.

I used Becker and that was my approach. I went into the exam feeling good, left feeling terrible, but the result of 96 means that my strategy worked for me…because I knew NOTHING about auditing prior studying Becker.

took aud last friday, did all the becker questions till i wanted to vomit.

taking the exam i definitely knew some stuff, but there was some information i did not know.

the simulations i felt were pretty simple and basic, but then again who knows.

i felt the same way leaving this exam as i did when i took REG, but i did not feel this way when i took BEC and i did not pass that exam.

i hope the result will be the same =)

keep doing the becker questions all day every day… i hope you pass and do well.

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

    I'M DONE!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll retake it on Jul 19.

I'm redoing all BECKER passmaster questions, and re-read all the textbooks.

    Good luck!

For audit, I would just do the HW over and over again; I wouldn't even get into the “final exams.” I found that in the days prior to the exam, I wanted to read why my answers were wrong and digest that instead of waiting until after taking an entire final exam. Also, if there is an update on the Becker website, like an appendix or supplemental information, read it the night before the exam and “what sticks, sticks.” Good luck.

When I take REG, I left the Exam thinking that I fail so imagine my surprise when I got a 88. I know that I did well on the MC but the sims were really hard.

Today Auditing was Ok, I think that I did well. Overall the Sims to me were more Accounting than Auditing, which is good for me.

There were about 30 questions on the MC that came out of the Wiley books almost word for word.

    NYMadMan:

I'm actually studying off the Wiley books and was surprised to read there 30 were word for word questions on the exam… Did you use the 2009 or 2010 edition??… I'm scheduling the test for late august and have about 6 weeks to study… Do you or anyone that took the audit exam have any recommendations for nailing the exam? I really want to pass the first time around..

    Thanks 🙂

    Gab,

If you do the 750 mcq in the wiley book + the 850 mcq in the wiley software + the 550 mcq in cpareviewforfree. I guarantee you that you will find about 30 question word or word or a slight change in the $ amount in the question.

I start study for the CPA exam in March this year, so all my books are 2010.

For AUD, you learn so much just from doing the multiple choice questions. My Auditing Review professor at my university had us do approximately 1,500 questions throughout the semester (old AUD exams from the mid-1990s) and questions released in the last few years. On top of that I did all 750+ in the Wiley book and about 600 on the Gleim software. I haven't received my score back, but this preparation has me confident. Don't want to jinx myself though!!

Also, he really encouraged us to memorize the Standard Unqualified Audit Report, Review Report, and Compilation Report. Memorizing these three reports help a lot.

    AUD: 95 (7/14/10)
    REG: 94 (7/22/10)
    BEC: 87 (7/29/10)
    FAR: 95 (8/12/10)
