I have a simulation calculating how he vertical analysis through cost of goods sold to net sales. The ratio increases between two years. Both amounts increased individually. I understand all the explanations are except it says that the ratio increase will most likely tell you that the company did not raise their prices even though their costs were increasing. How exactly do we know that?

@spartans92, I don't have children and my husband is trained very well to leave me alone and be quiet. I have to remind him sometimes but this had been going on for over a year so he's learned! And also ready for it to be over so he's rooting for me! Our parents and siblings live thirty minutes away and my phone is normally on silent. They know they don't get my time right now and understand. Of course a few weeks after I finish will be tax season, but they get my full attention over Christmas!

    Random question for you guys….

If the auditor notes that there are material issues with the f/s that would normally warrant an adverse or qualified opinion (or if there are scope issues that would warrant a disclaimer) and the auditor and management discuss the issue before the audit report is issued.

If management makes the necessary changes to the f/s, and the auditor now can issue an unmodified opinion, does the auditor make any additional comments in the audit report (like emphasis of matter or other matter paragraph)?

If it's a material weakness it should be disclosed in the internal control report. I don't believe it has to be communicated in the standard audit report.

@Spartans92 I like CPAReviewForFree; I used it a little during my last FAR exam. Don't they have @1000 MCQ's? I still prefer Gleim and Ninja for various reasons, but I'll probably use CPAReview for part of my final review after my AICPA Sample Test; I wonder if it's decent on Android?

@Pharaoh – I am using Roger. He is da man! I think his teaching style really compliments my learning style. Although, I will say that I also use the CPA released questions, which are available on the Roger platform as well, during my last week of review.

I see you are using Roger as well. What are your thoughts about it?

Well, the MCQ's worked for me and I passed (83). I took it once using just the Becker Book I bought off eBay, no classes, just read the book and I got a 72. I passed the other 3 sections using this method, so I think Becker definitely is a good resource, but I feel like the MCQ's help fill in, and are just flat out more convenient. I used the MCQ's this time, saw every question, had a trending score of 81, felt completely uneasy after the exam because of how different the questions were compared to the MCQ's, but apparently they worked.

Good luck to all who are still working on passing!

@jr1751 – Roger is great. I used to use Becker but drop it half way when I was studying for FAR and switched to Roger, I can understand stuff from him better and sometimes I don't even read the book, I would just take some notes. I am not big fan for his IPQ though and I supplement with Ninja. Overall, I think he is the best

@Pharaoh – Yeah, all of my cpa friends told me to get Becker, which I did consider. However, after looking at the videos on YouTube, I decided to go with Roger. Nothing against Becker, I just felt that Roger was more my cup of tea.

Why are you not a fan of the IPQs? Why do you think Ninja MCQs are better?

    Have you taken AUD?
