ruggercpa2bParticipantI don't think that he can say if he saw JEs or not because we are not allowed to talk about the specific material we saw on the exam.
I have read on the forum that JEs would be fair game. You could get lucky and not get them or they could throw a few at you.

AnonymousInactiveIs it just my computer or is this the full functionality of the Ninja SIMs?
Is there a split screen or advanced search option I am missing? It seems like Becker's SIM functions were identical to the exam but this research tool is like apples and oranges compared to the other… Can anyone tell me if I'm missing something or do I just need to adapt to this format?

MartinParticipantI know Examinations,Reviews,Agreed Upon procedures and Special reports ERAS are attestation engaments. I also know that Examinations follows GAAS,Reviews follow SSARS, and Special reports also follows GAAS,but how can I know which attestations engagement follow Attestation Standards? If each of the ERAS follow a different standard, but they are attestation engagements then who needs to follow the attestation standars? The items that are not attestations? Im confuse on this one. Is it for items that do now contain financial statements?

WindelParticipantThanks. My only suggestion to you is to get a FULL nights rest. Focus on Transaction Cycles, Compilation and Reviews, Don’t forget Gov’t and know your Risks (what’s the inverse of what) and by all means I hope by know you’ve somewhat mastered/memorize the C.R.I.M.E pneumonic for internal control. Good Luck. You’ve got this. As one other test candidate stated “Confidence and Caffeine”
@mariam almas
I don’t want to violate the integrity of the exam by divulging too much so I’ll simply reply with this comment. The AUD simulations, that I encountered, were all relative to that portion of the CPA examination as whole and I did not feel as though the study materials I used left me feeling unprepared…

What you see is what you get…unfortunately my friend, NINJA’s AL does not mirror the exam simulator but the content is very much the same. Don’t let this discourage you.

superstaniMemberIn evaluating the reasonableness of an accounting estimate, an auditor most likely would concentrate on key factors and assumptions that are:
A.consistent with prior periods.
B.similar to industry guidelines.
C.objective and not susceptible to bias.
D.deviations from historical patterns.
This is a very tricky question I think

AnonymousInactiveThanks King, do you know if there is a way to do multiple SIMs in the Ninja software in a session, or do you have to do 1 SIM per session? For example, right now I do a “new question” SIM each time but its only giving me 1 SIM per session then I have to go back through the set up process.
I'll probably end up going back through and resetting my Becker SIMs eventually and re-working those due to the exam familiarity part, I took FAR in the beginning of Jan. so I know the formatting is relatively the same as the exams, was just hoping that Ninja was able to have some similar features but I guess that's why the price point is lower. It's still a great product, I am just spoiled to Becker.

MartinParticipantKing Coffee, did you ever take the famous becker final exams? If you did, what was your score on each exam?

WindelParticipantAll,
As always, good luck and I hope this helps. I woke up this morning with a crazy thought to try to request my NTS for BEC, complete as many MCQ’s in NINJA as humanly possible-daily and possibly take BEC 02/28. I’ve already read every chapter back in October 2014, watched all of Becker lecture videos but haven’t worked any MCQ’s in either Becker or Ninja. If any of you have taken & passed that exam, do you think this is doable and if so why or why not. Your input(s) would be greatly appreciated.

WindelParticipant@ARCPA2B
I respectfully disagree with the comment regarding the layout of NINJA SIM’s and how that might be why the price point is lower than Becker’s. Other’s may disagree and rightfully so because this is merely the perspective of a new tester but I feel the benefit of NINJA MCQ + SIMs far outweigh the cost of the material. I would even go as far as saying (in my opinion) it’s valued at 10 times it’s $49/per section price tag. Hopefully JEFF isn’t reading this but if you are…please don’t raise the price on us struggling CPA candidates.
Anyway, to answer your question, NINJA allows you to select SIMs by the assigned numerical order in which it appears in the NINJA Review software. I’m going repost the list of AUD Sims which allows you to cherry-pick SIMS for sections of the exam that you’re having the greatest amount of difficulty overcoming. For me, I was terrible at the research questions because I just didn’t know how to navigate the Authoritative Literature so I would use the list below to select just “Research” Sims and work on identifying what the key search term would be within the question, how to narrow down the paragraph or even how to quickly recognize what is being asked within the question. (I.e., is the question looking to test my know on ethics and compliance “ET” or is asking for differences in the expression of an opinion and the guidelines from certain governing bodies “PCAOB” etc..)
