Martin, when are you taking again?

Between 1/29 to 1/31. Im just trying to feel the same way I did the second time I took FAR and got an 84%. I think FAR is harder that Audit just because of the amount of information, but at the same time is very straight forward. You have to really understand Audit to be able to catch all the trick these a$$ hlles throw at you.

@Martin – yeah, a trending score of 70 won't do the trick. That was mine on the first attempt and got a 72 actual. I've increased it to a 77 for tomorrow's retake. Average score of 70. The average during my first attempt was only a 65.

@jstay – I'm in the same boat as you. I've attempted about 4,200 MCQs…and this is a retake tomorrow. I'm pretty nervous but hopefully it will all work out. Good luck to you.

warrreagle1015, except for ruggercpa2b, I would say that 95% of students who had an average of 70, got a passing score on the real exam,so be 95% confident that you will also pass. There is a lot of memorization going on with Audit except for Evidence and IC. I think on those two memorization is not enough (specially evidence).

@Martin – I agree. Lots of memorization, I've been studying for this retake for about 5 weeks. You have to go into this exam with confidence. If not, it will beat you up really hard. When are you taking?

I averaged 79% pretty much the whole time until two days ago when it increased to 80. I was trending in the 80s most of the way through but that went down to 79%…hopefully its enough. Good luck all!

jstay, are you a virgin with Audit? In other words, Is this your first time taking it? With your avarage, you have a great chance of passing, and I hope so, cause we need a good gauge to see where we stand.

I took the test on Monday and I used both Becker and Ninja. Overall I feel like both prepared me for the exam in regards to learning the concepts, however memorization alone doesn't help when you get to a “harder” testlet.

BEC - 80 (Becker)
AUD - 92 (Becker+NINJA MCQ)
FAR - 87 (Becker+NINJA MCQ)
REG - 90 (Becker+NINJA MCQ and Audio)

For my first attempt I had a hodge podge of materials (Becker, Yaeger and CPAexcel) needless to say it was too much and I spent more time going back and forth that I never actually took the time to learn the material. When I got the 66 I ditched the lectures and just read the Wiley Book. I went through the Wiley testbank and then when I went through the Ninja MCQ I honestly was weak in Audit Evidence and Reports and knew it going into the exam. And Jeff had also told me to try and raise my score to be in the 80s but I didn't listen. I probably only got through 500 of the Ninja MCQs. The 73 I only worked the Ninja MCQs and spent the time actually focusing on learning the concepts. My sims were really hard and 2 of them were more FAR related and I have yet to take FAR.

For this retake I am going to get Jeff's Audit book because I cant stomach reading the Wiley book again. The plan is to work through the Ninja MCQs 3X and the Sims 2X. I am not leaving anything to chance. I just need that first pass to give me the confidence and motivation.

ruggercpa2b, now I know why you failed the last time despite getting a good average score on Ninja, you got 2 far simulations. You should do great this time around even if you get another FAR simulation.
