@ ptmuldoon – it might be true that there's no curve, but after seeing how people do, they might notice that less than 25% get one particular question right. Therefore, they might decide to throw-out that question. Honestly, from the number of high scores that I was hearing come out of audit this past release, I can't believe that a curve exists. With the amount of high 90s that came out, there's no way that it's a coincidence that they all were in this foreum at the same time.

No scores for the kid! Last 1! I will either be wating for FAR and REG to release or until March. At least February is a short month. If it were leap year it might push me over the edge. Everyone think 75.

    ineedtopass,

I was in the same boat as you. I failed audit twice and finally passed it the third time. I used Becker all three times but I would say the biggest difference was I printed all the questions from Becker homework and went through them a couple of times. I reread the book too. After all of that, when I was taking it the third time, I knew a ton more than when I took it the two previous times and I thought the test I was taking on the third try was the hardest of all three that I had taken. I swore that I failed when I came out but I ended up passing. I would just say make sure you know the whole book very well because you just never know what you are going to get. Perhaps try Yaeger like a ton of others have. I completely understand your frustration. I think Audit is a tough exam compared to the others. Don't lose confidence. Keep studying and pushing for that passing grade!

Actually, although we all bitch and moan at Nasba for the terrible score release process. Isn't it really the AICPA we should be complaining too?

Nasba has to wait to get them from the AICPA, and they actually release them pretty quickly, within 24 to 48 hours. But its the AICPA that decides who's in Wave1 and Wave2, and when to release scores.

    Zena,

    Yes I've done

Becker-1st 2 audit tries, 1st 2 FAR tries, all of my REG & all my BEC except this re-do since my 75 expired

then went to BISK for Audit try #3 & 4 and the 3rd & 4th go at FAR

now I'm onto Yaegar for the BEC retake b/c it expired…

Between review material & exam fees, I'm about $7,000 in!

I'm thinking maybe the Wiley book/Yaegar Cram for Audit for try #5-any thoughts anyone?

@jaks-try the Gleim questions. It is around $50 for about 2,000 questions. I have used it successfully and so have many of my co-workers.

I'm in NY, and I know scores came out last night, and I didn't receive mine, leading me to believe I'm in Wave 2 unless the AICPA releases some more scores. But I just checked and learned that my failing score from the last window is still showing on Nasba.

I would have thought with NY posting scores last night, that my prior score would have been removed?

I'm on Ohio and haven't heard a thing about my AUD score. I called NASBA today and they told me I am in Wave 2 and my score won't be released until at least March 15. I took it 1/9/10. I am so disappointed in how long it takes. It seems like it's a bit of a “broken” process.

It really makes no sense that people who take the test in the first window arent given scores in the first window.

I am in NJ and still haven't gotten my AUD score…seems like I'm in Wave 2, unless by some miracle the AICPA releases more AUD scores with FAR or REG. I'm praying they do and I'm still in Wave 1.

However, I'm stuck at this crossroads…

I'm studying for FAR right now to take in April (if I didn't pass AUD) or by May 5th (if I did pass AUD). Unfortunately, I haven't ordered my new NTS for FAR at this point in time because I was waiting for the Wave 1 release. I really didn't think that I had a new simulation – both of them on my exam seemed familiar, almost as if I had done them either in my studying prep or one of the other two times I took and didn't pass AUD.

So, if I didn't pass AUD, I'd like to save some money when it comes down to the Registration Fees. For NJ, it's $70 for one exam and $85 for two exams. I've already passed REG and BEC.

So, if I wait until the Wave 2 release in March to order my NTS for FAR, I may be up a creek without a paddle. I take my exams in NYC, so there are usually plenty of slots and locations, but I like to take my exams in the middle of the afternoon and Penn Plaza, which fill up the quickest. It's a 1 1/2 to 2 hour public transportation commute for me to get to the test site; so, to take a test at 1, I still have to be up and ready to leave the house no later than 11 AM. It's the 8 AM exams that never fill up and I do NOT think I could take and pass FAR if I had to leave the house by 6 AM.

If I order my FAR NTS at the end of the Wave 1 release, I still have a shot at getting a test date and time in the location of my preference. However, if I discover the I didn't pass AUD and have to take it for a 4th time, I'll be out another $70 rather than only $15. I'm unemployed right now to top it off (have been looking for a job since March '09, but headhunters keep saying I have to pass the exams first due to the competition in this tough economy), and these Registration fees really make it even more difficult and stressful.

Any words of advice? I'm tired of these exams! I just want to pass and be done by the summer! And I NEED to pass to help get any type of entry-level position in NYC or Jersey City right now.
