@ptmuldoon: I took Audit the first time on 10/1/09 and didnt not receive my results until December. I failed with a 71. I was LIVID. again, I have tested in the beginning of a window — 1/7/10 — and have been pushed to wave 2. I felt much more confident this time… but my confidence is crumbling as FAR looms over me this upcoming Friday. I feel grossly unprepared and filled with anxiety. I am hoping to pass at least 1 of my Q1 attempts. 🙁

anyways though, congrats to all that have passed and good luck to me & the rest waiting on wave 2!

My prior two scores were wave 2, but I sat at the end of the window, so it was just a 5-6 week wait (as if that's not bad enough!).

I agree, I took this on 1/11 and it's just asinine. Even though I still think it's ridiculous that this “new sim wave 2” BS happens, you'd think they could at least NOTIFY us as of the status…i.e., check an AICPA website for status showing if the score was released, if it'll be Wave2…anything really…

That is the frustrating part, I need to know if I can start studying for FAR for the next quarter or if I failed Audit and need to start re-studying for it. I would rather take it again first especially since I have Reg this Friday!!

It is very likely that more AUD scores will be released with REG or FAR…it happens frequently.

Thanks for the reassurance Jeff. People I work with keep telling me that isn't going to happen because it never happened to them.

Can someone tell me why prometric is sitting people for the first week of march and some of the second week? I sat 1/5 for AUD and have not received a score yet (IL Board of Examiners released on Sunday 2/21). I am really hoping this does not delay wave 2 if they extended the testing window (which I have never seen them do before).

I looked for a seat for IL & IN and they both had seats open for March, but I checked every website I can think of, and cannot find a notice that the AICPA extended the testing window & why. Had I had know I could have tried to do FAR now and not wait until April. It looks like I need to start praying that our exam scores don't delay for those of us that are still waiting that didn't receive scores from wave 1.

IL – 5th time might be the charm for me for AUD if I could ever get my score. I know it will be worth the wait if I passed, but if I didn't I lost a lot of replanning time / restudy time. FAR (4/2), REG (5/12), BEC not schld yet.

It happened as recently as last window…5,000 were released initially with another 1,500 released with REG.

Soanxious – that is precisely my concern as well. I believe that they would have to hold the scores. The point of all of us being in Wave 2 is because all the Wave 2 people are testing with our “new simulation”. They supposedly can't grade the sim correctly without enough people having taken it. Therefore, I think we're all gonna be stuck waiting until all the testing is over, & unfortunately I think that may mean the beginning of April

BTW – the reason they extended it is because of this crazy weather. Think about it…DC shut down for an entire week. If you had scheduled your test then, you couldn't take it. So they couldn't say too bad to those people, so they're extending the testing.

NK19 – Thanks! I hadn't even thought about it. I was in a review class 3 nights a week + work and only remember a two minute section on our news that Washington was shut down for the second day. I totally missed the boat that they were shut down the entire week. I was lost in CPA reveiw world.

I just called Prometric and they verified they extened the testing window until 3/8/10 due to the weather conditions. Can this get any worse? The first two times (11/07, 8/08) I sat I maybe waited a few weeks. Then I sat 5/27/09 and waited maybe three weeks, resat 11/13/09 and thought 12/18/09 was long to wait for a failing score (all for AUD). This is just killing me.

I guess all we can do is pray that the CPA Gods are good to us and do another release, and there is a passing score for all of us!

    NK19.

I posted a separate topic about there reportedly being No Curve on the exams, yet they need to wait to grade the New Sims to have enough people answer them. It just doesn't make much sense.

@soanxious – Yea, I know the feeling. If it wasn't for the fact that I have 2 younger sisters in school down there, I would have never known. University of Virginia closed due to the snow & it was the first time the school has closed for any reason since the Civil War. They had over 2 feet of snow down there. My other sister is in Baltimore & her school closed for a full week (along with Capitol)

Thanks Jeff for the info. I was in the first release last time and missed what happened after that because I was scrambling to reschedule REG and resit for AUD.

I will keep praying for another release. Your website is a great help!

NK19 – Wow! I didn't realize it was that bad & would have been having a heart attack if I was scheduled to sit & I couldn't it. I was getting about three hours sleep a night and didn't watch the news very much.

It is just my luck though that I am on the other end of the waitng game still. :O(

auditdrivingcrazy – I will keep crosing everything until we all see our passing scores and hopefully it won't be April!
