Will it ever end, how hard was your test? i take it next Monday and im freaking out. How were the sims and were the MCQ's tricky?

BlondeAccountant – I did not think the test was so bad. I did not think it was overally difficult. I walked out of REG having no clue how I did and out of FAR feeling terrible. Knowing this test, I probably bombed it and feel good about it. I probably studied 70-80 hours for it.

The MC were no different than what you would expect from Becker (I can't attest to other software). If you have done the progress tests and practice final exams and score above a 60, I think you should be ok. I took 30 minutes a piece on the MC and the sims were difficult but I was able to work through all but one tab that I struggled with. Since time probably won't be an issue, make sure and read the questions carefully (looking for “not” and “except”). I did notice that internal control was more tested on the sims than the MC it seems like. Hope this helps

financeguy – No, ratios are given on the exam. What they mean and the underlying concepts you may have to know though. For example, they may give you how to calculate a quick ratio, however you would be expected to know that it is a measure of liquidity, what liquidity is and what is it used for, and possibly how this type of ratio is used as an analytic in the different phases of the audit.

I am freaking out. there is too much to remember in audit and i think i am just forgeting some detailed information. I am taking auit exam next week can some 1 tell me how do i approach. Only reason i am scared is that i am finding this exam toughest among all 4 exam. any advice??

i agree with you PAP. i have passed the 3 others and this one is hardest and trickiest for me. this is my 3rd time taking it. bbrowning, when did you take the exam and how bad were the sims? how tricky were the MCQ's?

well, I don't know if I passed, but I did take it today and felt pretty good. I took other people's advice, and it helped – I did a ton of MC questions. I did well over 2000 in order to prepare.

becker was great for audit – I just took the test and becker covered every topic in the mc. The sims were a different story – other than the written comm, it was all stuff I have never seen before. overall the test isn't too bad, just long.

My legs are cramped from sitting all day and my eyes are tired but studying must go on. Wondering if there are people out there who feel the same. 🙁 I think I even gained a couple white hairs. argh
