Steve125 – this was posted earlier by dwadecpa…it seems to all be true.
*WARNING* This is only speculation. I need everyone to respond and help validate this based on your experience. I'm trying to consolidate everyone's experience. I think the scenarios below are only applicable for NASBA states during the day AFTER scores are released (so for example, if you are waiting for REG and it gets released by AICPA on Tuesday, then these scenarios would only be accurate for Wednesday morning once the Ohio NASBA site has a chance to update). Here's my take on the Ohio loophole:
Scenario 1: You have passed 3 sections and are waiting for your last score. When you type in your info into the OH nasba site, you will get two responses
-Response A: You will be allowed to register for the 4th part whose score you had been waiting for. This is a sign that you did not pass.
-Response B: You will get a message saying that you have passed all sections of the exam. This means you passed that 4th section.
Scenario 2: You have passed 2 or fewer sections and you have currently purchased an active NTS for only SOME of the sections that you have not yet passed. For example, you have passed BEC and AUD, and you have taken and are waiting for your REG score, but you have NOT purchased an NTS for FAR and do not have an active NTS for FAR. You will get the following responses:
-Response A: Once you enter your info into OH NASBA, you will only be able to register for REG and FAR. This means that you failed REG.
-Response B: Once you enter your info into OH NASBA, you will only be able to register for FAR. BEC, AUD, and REG are all grayed out. This means that you passed REG.
Scenario 3: You have passed 2 or fewer sections and you have currently purchased and scheduled exams for ALL of the remaining sections. For example, you have passed BEC and AUD, and you have taken and are waiting for your REG score, and you are scheduled to take FAR next month. You will get the following responses:
-Response A: Once you enter your info into OH NASBA, you will only be able to register for REG. BEC, AUD, and FAR are grayed out. This means that you failed REG.
-Response B: Once you enter your info into OH NASBA, you will get a message saying that all of your exams are currently in process. This means that you passed REG (not so sure about this one).
