AnonymousInactiveI just took AUD today. I don't feel good about it at all. I have passed the other 3 tests my first try over the last 5 months. Has anyone out there passed all 3 other test their 1st time and failed AUD (when using the same approach for the other tests)? Every test I have taken I didn't feel good when leaving and ended up doing alright though. I just am worried because I couldn't tell if MC questions were getting harder like I could for the other test that used more math based questions. Did anyone else have that problem? Also I had two research questions ( I heard a rumor that if you have 2 it means you did bad on your multiple choice Q's. I thought they were unrelated). The 2nd research question was absurd and was so vague that you can't answer it. I even have tried to look it up today after the test and still am lost. Also 2 of the other simulations were so unrelated to anything I had experienced. Any words of comfort or advise would be helpful. Either way I am putting all my material away and in the back of my head till the end of September and then hopefully will be able to put the CPA testing to bed.

kb24ParticipantI didn't fail AUD after passing the other 3 but that was the one where I noticed the least difference amongst the testlets. Also, don't worry about the relationship of the SIMS to the MCQ. Somewhere in the AICPA website (I think in the FAQ), it states that the SIMS are totally unrelated to the MCQ. I've read several posts recently about people getting 2 research questions so don't read too much into it. Try to forget about the exam and to enjoy life for the next few weeks until score release.

thetalambda2002MemberI have a question on the simulations. I have been missing some on the wiley testbank because the answer will be D and H and I put H and D. Do I need to worry about this on the exam or does it grade just that you have two correct answers total not that they are in the predetermined box, if that makes sense.

The order doesn't matter on the exam. If it does, that will be specified in the question. Somewhere on this site, there is a post with responses to some questions that someone asked the AICPA that included this question. Can't remember where or I'd give you the link.

AnonymousInactiveI have been reading about testlets being easier and then getting harder and vice versa. What if all the testlets seem to have the same level of difficulty(straight forward) ? Does that mean anything? I changed 3 of my answers and think I had them all right the inital time, SUCKS. September needs to get here already lol After reading the forum I wonder if I missed a research tab with so many people having 2. This test is BANANAS.

Don't think so much about the difficulty of the testlets. It's comforting for those who find them getting harder to know that there is a good chance they have been doing well so far, but if people find them getting easier it could just mean they really know the harder material! Personally, I didn't feel much of a difference between the testlets and have passed, so don't worry about it. I only had one research tab, so you probably did not miss one (unless I missed one, but I did go over the tabs a couple of times).
Hang in there! You just have to be prepared to get the unexpected, because you can't really prepare so much for the sims. Imagine, in 2 weeks you'll be passed this!

killakingParticipantI was there shaking my head, because i got most of tab 3 and was like man I must have failed smh.
but then again what is a hard question for audit? the hardest question can only be a sampling question like PPS?

AnonymousInactiveI don't remember so well how I felt (and it was only about 2 months ago!). I think I felt ok about it, but I also liked AUD the best so far. I think I used the research tab for most of the sims, so I felt I had backed up my answers pretty well. When I came out of FAR, I was almost positive I had failed (didn't get to finish the sims, didn't really know the ones I did work on, etc.), and cried for most of the night (until I discovered this website, as I mentioned somewhere else) and I am grateful that I passed that, too. Also, could be compared to FAR (I took AUD after it) AUD seemed so much easier!
So don't worry about the Sims. As you said, you never know what will be, so no use worrying about it (for now. when it gets closer to the release date I think I start to get a little nervous).
Are you studying for any other CPA exams now?

AnonymousInactiveI'm also waiting for my score! and I'm feeling that everyone has the same feeling that I do.. I felt I did pretty good on the multiple choice and I did not find a difference between the teslets althought averagely there was one or two harder questions that included IFRS.On the TBS I had to research Tabs and I felt I did good on both, the second one took me longer to find though..and about the other 5… two of them were ok.. 2 of them were impossible and one of them was confusing.. As everyone is saying you never know how you did on the TBS! best of luck to everyone!

RidingTheWaveParticipantJust took AUD on Friday. Finished the first booklet in 15 minutes. Finished the second booklet in 30. Finished the third booklet in 20. Took a nice long break and took my sweet time with the 7 simulation tabs. Feeling pretty confident about it. Too bad I'll have to wait around 6 weeks to get my grade…
