quick question, is cutoff always related to completeness? it seems like in my studies.

@OneStepAwayCPA: I don't think so. Completeness and Cut-off are two seperate assertions. Completeness applies to balances, transactions and disclosures where Cut-off applies to transactions only. I understand why you are thinking that, but cut-off could go with existence too. Some testing can cover more than one assertion, so you are kinda correct…

I just took Audit today and it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't a breeze either…I got 2 easy research ones, so I lucked out there! Time is seriously not an issue on this exam as I had 1 hour and 7 minutes remaining when I finished. And I honestly didn't rush…

i wannabecpa- thanks for ur reply. just havin some trouble with those assertions in the questions, but i will go over them in more detail. So you had your exam? Were the TBS really hard? I heard they are hard and sometimes difficult if not impossible to study for?

Of my 7 Sims, 2 were research! I was happy about that and am pretty sure I nailed them.

2 were not too bad and I feel like I did fine on them, 1 was iffy and the last 2 were just bad. I feel like you would need some solid Auditing experience to really be able to understand those.

As for passing, who knows?! This is the first test I did not feel miserable after, so that probably means I failed.

i have a stupid question.

to record a Sales Return, is the J/E

debit: Sales

Credit: AR

or Debit: Return

Credit : AR

i know the other half is Debt Inventory, Credit: COGS

The more correct answer to your question would be to debit a Sales Return account and credit A/R. This helps keep track of a total Sales Return amount and at the end of the period Sales Returns are usually netted out against Sales to get a Sales (net) figure. When considering the substance of the transaction, if you debit Sales directly, you are establishing the same thing. At the end of the period, you will show a Sales figure on the Income Statement that is reduced for the Sales Return.

Any corroboration on this response? Best answer would be a debit classified as a Sales Return.

Man I took it today first testlet was way harder than last

time and the 2nd was medium and the 3rd testlet seemed easy

and sims weren't that bad I think I failed smh and those of

you that think you got the same question read the repeated

one carefully.

hi guys i need some advise for my first cpa exam tomorrow for AUD, what should i do as my last minute prep? I took my first becker practice final exam and got a 70% which was very disappointing because I've put in close to 150hrs of study time into this section. I did really bad on my simulations. Any advice on how to improve on that in one day?

I remember when a 75 was an easy grade to pull. I find myself praying to the grading gods for one now. LOL

I cant wait for this to be over.
