Good luck to you! I cant even look at the book anymore. I am just doing hundreds and hundreds of MCQ and simulations today. Hopefully it works out well.

So my exam is Thursday and I just finished the Gleim practice exam (I used Wiley/Yeager for my preparation though). I scored a 76.56. Not sure how I should take that since I haven't seen these questions on a regular basis. I will receive a call from the “counselor” tomorrow to discuss my areas of weakness. What are your thoughts?

BEC - 60, 71, 79
AUD - 73, 66, 87!!!!! Yes! I am done!
REG - 74, 76
FAR - 75

Yaeger Review for all except my last AUD score (Roger)!

I started taking the CPA exam about two years ago and I have Roger's book from that time. I have researched and downloaded the new changes for the Audit exam but I am worried that the old book has too much material that is no longer pertinent. Should i just buy the new book and Wiley software as well or will the old book and Wiley questions with the updated printout suffice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Sdb2fsu – I think your score is very good. If u passed in Gleim you will in real one too. My exp is that if I did well in the practice exams, I passed.

Until 28th just focus on a few areas you consider important and/ or weak in performance. Best of luck!

@dodger – My suggestion would be to update your materials. So much has changed with not only the content, but also the structure of each of the tests. I think its gotta be worth the investment to get new materials and give yourself a fighting chance to pass on the first try. Retaking tests is costly and time consuming. Good luck!

Thx hav2pass! That was the first time I took a final practice exam like that; hopefully it pays off and wasn't wasted 3 hours (yep I had an hour left). I felt like I did really well on the Gleim sims so I can't wait to see my errors. These 73-76's are killing me man! I have to look at the score like three times to make sure it's over a 75 lol.

@Sd – Remember the actual test is scored so much differently than these review material tests. 75 is just a number on the actual test, it has nothing to do with % of questions answered correctly. During your review, try not to focus so much on your score on the practice tests. Really focus on whether or not you understand the material. For your actual exam, just go in there and do better than 55% of the people taking the test.

@mom – I am going nuts!! You too? Its so hard not to think about it. It was just a tough test. I definitely think I am borderline. I keep thinking back to that one question that i missed 3 TIMES! Grrrr. I think the only thing that may save me are the sims. I felt like I did better than most on the sims. Not great, but better than most. I'm starting REG tomorrow night. Its going to be hard to push the AUD test from my brain and really focus on the REG materials.

@ Mini.. Yeah I can shake the SIMS and I looked through my Wiley book to look for something similar but found nothing even close.

Yeah I figure I will do BEC next and REG in January if all goes well. I want to get through this because I want to go to grad school.
