    I just wanted to send some words of encouragement…

    To all who are preparing for AUD the end of this month:

    STUDY hard! Don't slack off! If you're a first time AUD tester, stay focused. Studying the first time through might feel like torture, but studying it all over again is much, much worse.

    You can do it!

    I pushed back my AUD exam to May 30th! I've done over 2,500 MCQ, and still have another 1,000. Then I have to do them all over again……

    I wonder if any of you guys are doing “tons” of MCQs for AUD?

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, (May 30th???)

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    I am retaking AUD on May 25th. I felt pretty good about the exam when I took it a few weeks ago but got a 74. I am almost through reviewing all the sections and I still feel good about the material. I wonder if I am missing something.

    FAR- 70, 76 REG - 91 BEC - 80 AUD - 74, 85

    GA - NASBA state

    Shawna, I felt very confident each time I took AUD, but I believe unless you work in AUD or are some kind of brain or lucky, it will be very diffiuclt to pass AUD unless you do thousands of MCQs…..

    I've done all the MCQ in Wiley 2x and I'm half way through the Gleim CPA Test Prep MCQs. I've noticed areas I thought I knew well, but then scored in the 60s…..I corrected my weaknesses and hope I will finally pass!!!!!

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    Can someone please explain to me what is so hard about audit? I got it next week and I am destroying every multiple choice question getting close to 100 on everything ( I am using Becker) If you read the wrong answers they explain to you a bunch of helpful things. I even did good on the final exams. I know the real exam will be different story, so for people that already took it why is it so difficult??

    Well, my car died on the way to my first AUD exam. I almost didn't make it to my test… I'm hoping that the stressful morning threw me off my game (not trying to make excuses though). I thought I knew the evidence material (A4), but I quickly realized during my exam that I didn't have it mastered. It was like they kept hammering me on the same couple of topics and I knew I didn't know the answer.

    I think I focused too much on the types of reports and didn't receive but maybe 2-3 questions on them. Everyone says you need to know those reports forwards and backwards… but I guess I just didn't get those questions.

    My biggest problem was that the questions seemed so vague that I couldn't figure out what was the “best” right answer. I kept getting stuck between 2 answers. I'd think, “if they're talking about blah, then it's B… but if they mean blah blah, then I know it's A.”

    Oh alright evidence you say? I'm redoing those MC today. After I re-do all MC few more times I'll read through my book and look at pass keyes. I was actually writing out what mangement rep letter contained and compilation and review report, because if you know what's on it chances are you won't get fooled.

    I know the exam going to be hard because it is a CPA exam and nobody is going to give you the title of course it will be hard. I don't see any possible way it could be as hard as FAR though lol. There were so many questions on FAR that I had zero clue that thing was brutal.

    Good luck everybody!!! Is it just me or is taking forever for this wave to come out!

    To Jason,

    What you really need to do is figure out what worked for you on FAR. These exams have nothing to do with what or how much you study. What matters is that you figure out what allowed you to pass. For me, I wore a dark blue callaway shirt to my first exam BEC. And when I passed, I made sure to wear it to REG and FAR as well. And the scores kept going up even though I was studying less. Now, I know I barely have to study for Audit as long as I wear my lucky shirt.

    BEC 85 REG 94 FAR 95 AUD 80 "accountants do it with double entry"

    LOL itsaccrual world!! I was using the same strategy for my first two exams, but it's too warm now to wear what I wore then, so I guess I'm back to studying for my AUD exam on 5/28.

    OMG! Same here! I wore my black Alpha-Chi (college national honor society) t-shirt. My theory for my first exam was that I could look down and remind myself that I am a smart person, regardless of how my exam was going. I passed and wore the same shirt to the rest of my exams. I also made my husband wear this certain black/white polo to work on my test days (since it's the shirt he wore on the day of my first exam). We joke that I failed AUD the first time around because he “forgot” to wear his shirt. Needless to say, he's promised to wear it for any and all remaining re-takes. Silly, but I'll take anything that might help at this point.

    Preparing for AUD exam on 5/27. Do I memorize ratios? (quick ratio, AR turnover, inventory turnover, days sales in AR, etc)?

    Yes, you need to memorize the ratios for all three – AUD, FAR and BEC. The only exam that doesn't include ratios is REG. Good news is once you memorize them you'll know them for all 3.

If I did then I'm wearing same one to audit on thursday lol. But yea I ain't sweating it, I got like a 3.7 in audit in college was just wondering how come people are saying its hard doesn't seem hard to me. But we will see.
