Patrick- It helped me having a tax background but becker does a good job IMO in preping you for REG.

Patrick, I took REG before I starting working, and I do mostly tax work. It absolutely is helpful to have a tax background, because I started to work right after I finished the REG exam, and I noticed so many things that I had just reviewed for the exam coming up on almost a daily basis.

Obviously it depends on what type of tax work you do, but regardless, it is definitely an advantage in my opinion.

Awesome – I work primarily with s-corps and partnerships, and most of the material seems pretty straight forward, so I am hoping that the background helps out on the exam. AUD on the other hand was completely foreign to me! Hoping I passed so that I can put it behind me!

Agreed…Audit is my last part and I just want my score and hopefully be able to be done with this test forever!

But from what I remember (I took REG in October), Corps were heavily tested, so I bet you will be in pretty good shape. Don't blow off the law though. Even though its not a sim, its a lot of multiple choice.

Can't say I blame you. I have faith you passed this time. Audit is definitely tricky, but if you just study your butt off it is passable. Since you took it once and failed, im sure you gave 150% this time… so I'm thinking you passed 🙂

i hate these tests…im so sick of studying, paying to take, waiting for scores, and most of all, sick of failing!!! i should have went to school for something that doesnt require a miserable exam..!
