    Hello everyone,

I was hoping you'd be able to help me with something. From what I understand, the key to mastering AUD is to do as many MCQ as possible, and memorize a bunch of stuff. I'm clear on the MCQ part, but does anyone have a good summary of what to memorize for this exam, and how?

    Thanks!

P.S. Anyone out there used Yaeger's AUD cram? I have it, but can't seem to focus enough to get anything out of it. I'm in corporate tax, and this AUD stuff is so foreign to me…

    Testing in TN (NASBA State)
    REG 74, 77; FAR 77; BEC 73, 73, 73, 80; AUD 40,78
    And I'm out...

See the XX's and the 55's below – that is what Becker did for me. However, others have done fine with it. I have determined that I am a more comprehensive learner and need more than what Becker could give me. And I don't learn well by just listening to lectures, and doing the same questions over because I memorize the answers (and not for the right reasons). Plus I am sick / twisted & like the detail. From my experience Becker is much broader, if you like more information or need more than a “review” I would look further. I am not familiar with Roger so I will let someone else comment on that.

P.S. There have been a lot of updates since 2007 – I found out the hard way and wouldn't recommend their 2007 book at all. Check your publishing date – it could be even older than the year on the cover. It is not worth it to save a $ because (as Jeff said) you could be spending it in retesting fees / time!

    I hope this helps!

David – I use Becker and I really like it. I think they do a great job of hitting the highlights and help you not get bogged down in all the details. That being said, I agree with soanxious about the MCQ. I wish Becker had a bigger bank of questions to pull from. However, I think their presentation and teaching style is great. But, I can see where it wouldn't work for everyone. I am also fortunate in that my firm covers the cost of Becker. I don't know what I would have done without it, but I doubt it would be Becker because of the cost.

    NY Candidate using Becker: FAR (2/20) - 81, AUD (4/3) - 92, REG (5/3) - 95, BEC (5/29) - 89 DONE!!!

Taking AUD tomorrow morning (in about 8 hours) and I'm getting a little nervous. I'm pretty well versed on the report types, what precludes an unqualified opinion, and the situations causing a modification of the standard report. The risk piece and the sampling piece get me every time. I just hope that I've prepared enough to pass.

Of course I thought the same thing going into FAR in Feb and nailed it, so I'm probably being my usual worrysome self. OK back to the Becker questions…

    BEC - 89 FAR - 89, AUD - 89, REG - 80

I need to re-register for Audit after failing back in January and am hoping to take it in May before the testing window ends. I used Becker last time, and will be using the same material again. Any tips on how much lead time I should have for prep before taking the exam? Last time I followed the Becker 5 week schedule, which was somewhat helpful given that I never took an Auditing class nor am an Auditor by trade.

    FAR - 11/24/09 - 78
    AUD - 1/21/10 - 64
    BEC - 2/26/10 - 78

    I second that…

I need study tips for re-taking AUD. I failed it in Jan and am just about to start re-studying for it. I plan to re-test next month. When I got my paper scores back, it looks like I was just a few percentage points below in each topic… it wasn't like I just bombed a particular topic. Should I re-watch all my videos? What's the best re-testing approach?

If anyone is interested in the Wiley 2010 Auditing practice CD let me know. I purchased it to prepare for AUD but passed the test before I got the CD. It's never been opened. With shipping I paid $84.95, but I'll let it go for $60. Shoot me an email at saroberson@gmail.com if you're interested.

I took AUD today and I'm pretty sure I failed. I felt really good about the first testlet, and only marked 4 questions for review. The second testlet was awful and the rest was pretty much a blur. I've been having major issues with studying for AUD anyway, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to do it all over again. There isn't really a point to this post, I'm mostly just venting.

Hey everyone… I'm new to the AUD part of this site… i just took BEC this past friday and now i am getting ready for AUD at the end of may.

I hope i passed BEC so that i dont have to worry about re-studying for that while i am getting ready for AUD.

Does anybody have any advice on how to get ready for this exam using Becker?

    Any help would be great.

For those who didn't pass, try again, because we will all get through all this one day.

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

Haha NJCPA2B, I am definitely not looking for attention. I found AUD so much harder to study for than FAR and REG. I think it is because I work in corporate accounting, and I've had experience in tax. I have never been an auditor and had one audit class two years ago. I knew I felt less comfortable with the material going into AUD than I did with the other two. Fingers crossed for a 75.

    FAR - 86, REG - 93, AUD - 87, BEC - 86

    Professional Standards…..(AU, AT, AR, etc)

Did you all read all of these? They Wiley book goes into a lot of detail with the standards…but the Gleim book does not.

Do you all think this is needed, or is the info in the actual modules suffice?

    Thanks
