@Impinky – I'm also waiting for my AUD scores in NC. Yes they do mail the scores in days after the AICPA release, but you can most definitely receive the scores on the NASBA website days before then.

Now I just need to get in with a big 4 company. Urgh.

Is there a way to request a score report be resent? I took AUD in the first wave of the April/May 2010 window but still have not received the letter with my finalized score.

    FAR - 88; AUD - 92; BEC - 5/21/10; REG - 8/27/10

rachjk – was your score released in Wave 1? Just because you tested during Wave 1 (before approximately May 7th), does not necessarily mean that your score was released in Wave 1. It could be getting released with the Wave 2 releases that are just starting.

CowgirlNJ – yes, my score was released in Wave 1. I can see it online, but they said it's not official until you get the mailed letter. I am just worried it got lost in the mail.

rachjk – I would contact your NASBA rep to find out if it was mailed to you or if you can get it resent.

@ Swankjob, how do you get the scores on the NASBA website prior to NC mailing them out?

@Shawna….I see you have children also, if you don't mind me asking …. what was your study schedule?

I am battling FAR right now, which seems to require much more time than BEC and AUD did, right now I am trying to stay up until 11 and studying after they go to bed.

This is probably a stupid question, but why are so many people taking the CPA exam for states they don't line in? For example, you SwankJob, are taking the NJ exam but you live in NC.

My wife and I are leaving NC in two years and most likely headed back to our home state (NJ). Assuming I passed, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of transferring.

Secondly, I was under the impression that NJ had one of the tougher requirements when it came to sitting for the exam, which I qualified for. I figured if I moved somewhere else or if I stayed in NC then my background wouldn't be scrutinized as much by the state boards.

    That's my thinking anyway.

CPA-Valenz – My husband and I are carpool to work – that is a solid one hour every day. I also study during lunch at work – that is usually a solid 45 minutes. After the kids to to bed, I usually get one hour of study time in. On the weekends I studied about 3 – 4 hours on Sat and the same on Sun. I did not lock myself in a room though. I wore earplugs so that I could be in the same room with my kids and husband. Plus, the kids nap for 2 hours each day on the weekend. So they really only had me with earplugs for a couple of hours. There was no time alone with my husband though. However, in the evening he would usually watch sports on tv (muted) while sitting next me to studying. I just took all of my personal time and down time away. It was exhausting but I would do it all over again.

But – I took my time studying. I did one section per week with two weeks of review. So FAR took me 11 weeks, AUD took me 7 weeks, BEC took me 7 weeks and REG took me 9 weeks. I think Becker suggests doing 2 sections a week and there was no way physically possible that I could do that with my schedule. Believe it or not, my BEST study time was in the car. It was quiet and I didn't have any distractions because we live in Atlanta and it is just solid traffic each way.
