I had the same problem. I was scheduled to take AUD on 6/8/2020. Prometric confirmed my appointment by email on 6/5 and by phone on 6/6. Yesterday, when I arrived at the test center, I was told that the center was short staffed and my appointment would be cancelled.
Immediately after I left, I called 1-800-936-2433 to reschedule. After a 60+min wait, I was told by the rep that they don't service the CPA exam. 🙂 The number then rep gave me was an SAT/GRE number closed due to Covid. 🙂
After 2-3 hours I got a call from the test center confirming the cancellation. In the evening I got the cancellation email from Prometric saying “Please do not go to the test center”. 🙂
Today, early in the morning, I got the same cancellation email from Prometric telling me “Please do not go to the test center”!
I have been trying to reschedule my exam all day today, to no avail. I am getting an error saying that my Exam ID number is invalid. I called my test center to see if they put me as a No Show in the system and to get a valid phone number for the Call Center. All I could get was a phone number for a Call Center, which I called. It was closed due to Covid. 🙂
I also contacted Prometric via Contact Us on the website, but I am not hoping to get anything soon.
Not sure what to do next.
