    I just received an email from Prometric stating that my scheduled exam has been cancelled and to not show up to the testing center. Thing is, my exam is on the 27th of April and the email states they’re still planning on reopening on the 16th of April…

    Anyone else receive an email like this?

    So, I need clarification of the CPA credits being extended through 90 days or September 30th.
    I had my April 21st 4th and final exam set. Then it was cancelled. But my REG expires on April 23rd. The earliest available testing date was July 29th, which I snagged. Does this mean my REG will be expired on July 23rd (90 days from my April 23rd expiration date) or is the credit extended 90 days from June? So I am still ok with my test date on July 29th and not have my REG credit expired? I hope this makes sense.

    Is the credit extension (not NTS) of passed sections being extended 90 days from its expiration date or through Sept 30 no matter if the credit expires In April May or June??

    @Kach. Things are continually being updated but as of now NASBA will extend all NTSs expiring between April 1 – June 30, 2020, until September 30, 2020. I haven't seen a blanket extension of exam credits yet. The last thing I've seen about handling issues such as yours is to contact your state board of accountancy.

    @PDiddy2000: I did contact them and they responded back with this:
    “CPA Exam Credit Extensions:
    CPA Exam candidates with one or more CPA Exam credits that will expire on or before June 30, 2020, will be granted a 90-day extension of the credit(s) through September 30, 2020”.

    How do you interpret that? My April 23rd credit expiration extended through until September or 90 days passed April 23?

    @Kach I interpret that as saying 90 days passed April 23 so your REG expiration will be in July now.

    @PDiddy2000
    Problem solved. I was just able to reschedule on May 30th. Hopefully that date stays open.
    Thanks

    @Kach Awesome! Having a date to study for is much easier than open-ended studying, IMHO. My current retest date is May 9, I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't change.

    Does anyone know what's going with NYC testing centers?
    there seems to be no slots at all for REG until July, there's a few in beginning of May, but that's it. (I do have mine booked for May 4, but the shelter-in is extended to May 15..so I think it will be cancelled.

    I received an email a few days ago saying Prometric is open as of May 1 but there is a whole other thread going on about how they're closed through May 31. What's going on?

    I'm scheduled for May 9.

    @Animalwithin
    i know, i saw the thread, too
    but it seems prometric will remain to open for CPA exam b/c it falls under “essential business” (i think i saw this from the same thread) ?!

    REG - Passed

    AUD - Passed

    BEC - July 2020 - PASSSSED!!!!!

    @Asdf I would assume there are dozens of exams that fall within the “essential business” category.

    Only certain testing centers are open in May. You MUST check their list of open centers… my exam on May 30th was not cancelled (in fact I confirmed it online) but the testing center is NOT on the list of open centers, and I called and its closed until June 1, 2020. DO NOT trust that your appointment confirmation is real unless its on the listed testing centers… further there are 0 openings within a 200 mile radius in June and July for me (Western PA)

    @Jen P – That's crazy! I'm in Pa too, but on the eastern side. Thankfully, as of now, the testing center is scheduled to open just in time for me to sit for my exam. I'm pretty sure that most of those centers fall in the “red zone,” I find it ridiculous how there is not much listed open on that side of the state. I would suggest to keep checking daily, and hope that something comes up. I've noticed that the dates for some testing centers to open up have changed too, went from 5/18 to 5/15.

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 76
    REG - 79
    What a journey! It took me 12 attempts, do not give up, keep going! Praise God!

    I went to the test center (Lake Forest, CA) today and was told my exam was cancelled, but I never received any email from Prometric. Are there anyone had similar issues?
