    Hello everyone,

Just got my score back on BEC and I passed!!!! I am done with REG and BEC, but now I have to tackle AUD again. I got a 73 in both February and May, and I’m not exactly sure how to approach it this time.

Last time, I used Becker self-study, did the entire course, did all of the Ninja MC questions, and also did Multiple choice from the wiley software that I printed off before it expired. I was trending in the high 80’s or low 90’s on all three softwares and got a 73 twice in a row. Does anyone have any advice on strategies for studying differently. I am willing to do whatever it takes, just don’t know what direction to go in. I would appreciate any advice!!!

Were your weaknesses the same on both score reports?

    REG-August 2016
    FAR-October 2016

i used ninja book and mcq – they align perfectly. start at the beginning, read a section, do the mcq's until you get them all right. read everything in the responses. work through all to the end. use the actual standards as references – everything is based on those. read a few to get familiar with format and organization.
know the difference between audit, attest and review/compilations. know differences for issuers and nonissuers. do all the sims and carefully review each solution to compare what you thought they were asking and what they actually wanted.
audit is a process so always know what to do for each phase. practice the ratios because you will need them again for BEC.
take a short break, then, go get it!!
you can do this! good luck!

My scores on the report from the AICPA were not similar at all. Scored higher on the Sims than the MC the first time and the opposite the next time. The areas weren't the same either. I have my becker book so I don't know how much good the ninja book would do but maybe I will try it this time. I just passed BEC, so I won't need those ratios ever again hopefully!

My advice is make a presentation out of the material and “Present” to family or co-workers. You need to start at the beginning of the process and go to the end. All the while taking the accounting jargon and translating it into terms non accountants can understand. If you can do that should help. My AUD scores were 62,73,76. I truly believe having to explain stuff to my wife helped bc it forced me deeper into the material.

If I already have the Becker book, does anyone think it would really benefit me to buy the ninja book also? Or just the Ninja MC again?

I don't think that it makes sense to buy another book. Having two different test banks is always beneficial.
