    Hi everyone!

I just got a new job as one of the first accountants at a very small startup company. It’s going to be a lot of responsibility as their finance/accounting infrastructure is barely there. That being said, they asked if I wanted a Mac or PC for my computer. Everyone there has Macs. Personally, I like Mac computers better but I’m wondering if a lot of the accounting software and/or excel will not run as well on a Mac as it would on a PC. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated! Thank you so much!!

Depends on what accounting software you'll be using.

I heard that excel sucks on Macs. I have a macbook at home and don't really use excel on it very often but the times I have, I found it clunky. Maybe I'm just used to using it on a PC.

If it's feasible, get the Mac, see how it works out, and if worse comes to worst, switch to the Windows OS.
