Hi all, I studied with Becker and did every single MCQ and SIM I could get my hands on. And I felt I was SO unprepared.The wording of the test compared to Becker was not parallel at all! I know God can move mountains so I have faith I have a chance to get a 75 or above. So, I just have to say, never have I studied this much for a test and felt so unprepared LOL does that make sense? BEC was just as hard as FAR for me. Such a wack test!!

I took BEC this morning and got dominated. I panicked and walked out without doing the writing portion. Oh well.

@1skibum oh my! I’m so sorry! I also took almost an hour to complete just the first testlet. I’ve heard that BEC has gotten more difficult since 2017! So I completely understand! These tests are just about getting the right mix of topics you’re stronger on!

Yeah that sounds about right. I was going to give up on the CPA exam, but unexpectedly passed FAR so I’m half done. I had 2 weeks to study for BEC so I kinda set myself for failure, but at least I know what to expect now. Gotta get AUD done, then I’ll retake BEC.

Oh wow good luck guys! I'm studying for BEC right now using Becker. COSO was ok, HATED EVERY PART OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMEMENT, and I'm on cost accounting now which is alright. I'm hoping to take the exam next month. Thanks for your feedback. This is my last exam which I saved for last because it was supposed to be easy but this is very comparable to FAR for me which just doesn't make sense!!!!!!!!! Anyway best of luck again and please share any topics I should focus on.

I also did not like the financial management at all! My advice is, when the blueprint says Financial can be up to 21% of the exam believe them! Then again almost every topic has about a quarter chance of appearing so get a high level understand at least of everything! Don’t slack on a topic just because you don’t like it

I felt the most defeated in BEC, especially for the MCQs. There was no way an exam that hard could have the highest pass rate of all 4 sections. This was also the only exam where I finished all practice questions from Roger CPA, twice.

I ended up passing as you can see, so all I can say is….you aren't alone, BEC is a beast but you more than likely passed, wipe that exam from your mind and go enjoy your life until the scores come out.

I also just took BEC and I felt it was harder than FAR in some ways…. I am very nervous for the score release 🙁 Is it true that the passing rates for this exam are higher on average than the others?

@kms1234 what did you use to study? Do you think it was enough for the IT? I have Becker and like you those IT questions were so detailed! And yes it is the “highest” rate. Last quarter it had around 59% pass rate. Whereas Far was 49% for some perspective for you.

Guys, remember they made changes to BEC in 2017. It used to be the “easiest” exam section. Not so easy now. It's one of the hardest.

@KeepPushing I used Becker and felt that some questions were covered and similar I think the reason I feel nervous about this test is because I genuinely don't know if it was enough to get a 75 (different feeling than the other tests I've taken).

I somehow passed BEC with an 82 using only Ninja and honestly not even really reading the Ninja Book. I just felt like I did decent on most of the test, then Aced the written communications.
