I AM DEFEATED - Page 2

Today I was just made aware that the past 3 months of working my butt off all mean nothing. I took FAR April 5. I had sat for the exam before my education requirements were fulfilled (You can do that in Michigan as long as transcripts are sent 60 days after your first exam). My professor just decided to throw a wrench in my life and give me a D in a class because I did not show up to many classes even though I was getting high 90’s on exams. Now FAR will be voided and my upcoming exams will be voided (AUD May 7th, BEC June 2nd). I am devastated. I worked so hard. Now I have to restudy for FAR before I even got my exam back. Halt my studying on Audit. I am mentally drained. I study full time so I have literally given my life to this exam. I dont know what to do. I will keep going because this is my life, but I just need some encouragement and some advice. A lot of advice. Please Help, SOS.

Yeah, man. You're good. I'm in Michigan as well, and I believe I used a D for one of my credits. It wasn't an Accounting class, but nonetheless.

sounds like a troll. If this is true, reach out to the AICPA and your state accounting board and tell them your story. They could possibly make an exception

People who have the ability to make stuff up like this must have some serious emotional issues

First, according to the AICPA's website, there's a better than 50% chance you'll be taking FAR again, its a harsh reality but studying full time does not mean you passed and therefore will even lose FAR.

Second, theres a better than not chance even with a D you will still graduate and not lose FAR assuming you did pass it.

Third, and I'd say as much to my own kids who are probably your age, go to class. Studying AUD doesn't preclude you from niching out time to attend your school classes.

@missy, the OP knows he passed. Don't ask me how. Only he knows. He will pass all the other 3 exams in May and be licensed by Junior Year in college. After this, he will have his Accounting professor fired. They will rename the accounting dept at his college/university, the Tax Shark accounting dept !

I really hope this is all trolling. We need someone to replace shawn in VA. I think Tax Shark just chomped his way to the top of the pool of candidates.

If it's a core class, a D would mean he “D-flunked” out in my college. I've got 5-6 accounting courses that you must pass with a C or above. Your overall or major GPA is irrelevant. I don't recall if my audit class was one of the C requirements or not, but it probably was since every accounting major has to take it.

I had to pass Intermediate 1-2 with a C, Tax, and AIS as well. There were a few other classes that required a C. It was most if not all of the required core classes. I could get a D in internal audit, or forensic, since those are electives, but not most(or maybe any) of the required classes.

i was wondering what happened to Brickell. Sounds like he/she is posting under a new name but is up to the same old tactics.

    Welcome back Brickster!

Wondering if SkyNet is also trolling? With his weird/creepy signature about pillow fights with Megan Fox and constantly making creepy comments about hot women in accounting

Yeah this is obviously a troll because you would just be dropped from the class instead of receiving a grade. In fact a D would be impossible if your test scores were in the 90s.

Well the part that makes it obvious is the poster “just found out today” on a Sunday and within hours had already appealed and talked to the dean. Pretty fast process on a weekend no less.
