How do you guys practice for essay part? I’m trying to write as many essays as possible, ran out of examples after failing it three times, any tips where to find essay example questions?

Which software did you use for MCQ? I feel like I tried everything possible not sure what is my problem

    AUD-79

    REG-82

    FAR-78

BEC-73,71,74, last try in may before my AUD credit expires

There isn't really a way to practice the WC. The content that you will be writing about, you will learn through doing MCQ. The only thing you really need to be aware of for the WC is the formatting. If you know how to properly format the WC, I think you will be fine.

How have you been formatting the WC?

Also, Ninja MCQ is a life saver when it comes to any exam IMO.

I agree with Biff, the writing portion is all about format and key words. I just got my performance report back and writing was one of my stronger areas. I literally had no idea what i was talking about in two of the prompts but I just made sure to use proper memo or essay format which includes an introduction, middle, and conclusion. Within those I made sure to reiterate the prompt at least 5 times. So literally copy pasting the key words in the prompt and putting them into your answer. Also grammar is important too I think. Even if you do not know the topic or are just bsing your way through like I did you can still do really well on the writing as long as you have those key words and phrases, formatting, and grammar.

I agree with Jessica 100%. Don't focus your time on the WC's, I would focus your attention on really understanding the material especially COSO and IT. Good luck on your next one, you got this!

    REG: 84 (10/5/15)
    AUD: 83 (11/23/15)
    BEC: 77 (2/27/16) - The bubble sucks
    FAR: 90 (7/20/16) - AND DONE FOREVER!!!!!

I agree with all comments above. I took BEC 3 times. WC was not what I had struggled since my first try. I had comparable on WC. Just know how to write a proper memo imaging if you are a reader, not a writer. What should a good memo be like? A memo that someone who is not an accountant can understand. Focus on materials and you will be able to write whatever the exam asks, even though you have never seen that topic. You will be fine.

I took my first exam today, which was BEC. I feel ill. I am not so worried about the WCs, but I had multiple MCQs on each testlet that I struggled with. I think the worst part is that I won't know my score until May 5. I am already scheduled to take the AUD exam on May 28, so I guess I have to start studying for that tomorrow.

I am worried that studying for another exam, I will lose some of my BEC knowledge….Anybody else having this issue?

@musicflowershop – AUD was the first exam I took, and I was certain I failed. Well, I got an 81. I also had many MCQs on my BEC exam that I struggled with. I didn't feel too good about it after leaving the exam, but again, I passed. Moral of the story is you probably did better than you think. Move on to AUD and if you have to go back and take BEC again, I would think the information will come back to you much easier the second time around. Waiting for the results is always the worst part. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thank you for your support and advices guys. I will try to focus on the format more than on the content itself …I guess, hopefully it helps. Writing was always a problem for me so I have been struggled a lot with writing part of the test.

As for the MCQ questions I tried Becker (my first try) then I added Ninja (second try) then I added (Wiley and Rogers), unbelievable but guess what still keep failing…I literally ran out of material to prepare. My score doesn't really change over the last year..makes me think that I have a wrong strategy or whatever it is, I'm just hoping I will jump over the hump in my next try (hope is what is left at this point).

I actually thought BEC would be the easiest test for me, I was really scared by FAR and REG and apparently those took me less than 2 months to prepare and pass from the first try. I wish I would just take another FAR instead of BEC, LOL!

Wish you all best of luck!

@alana – I wish we could trade because I'd gladly take BEC again for you if you could take FAR for me! 😉 I used both Wiley and Ninja MCQs to study for BEC. I think I was trending close to 90% on Ninja when I took the exam, and I ended up with an 85. Maybe that helps give you an idea of what to shoot for. You've gotten soooo close to passing on each of your attempts, I can't imagine how frustrating it must be. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you this next time around! Best of luck to you!!
